Pak have been playing crap in ODI's last few series and this doesn't mask it. actually this is true. hopefully they don't change their team after this victory and we get to play same team if we meet in t20 wc (which may be a definite possibility. if one team is first in group and other second we'll play in super 8). if this same team gets to play we'll win again.

Glad you guys won, would have felt ill seeing Bang win any cup. Why do you say that? I think it would have been great for cricket if they had won it as they would have gotten the self-belief they can compete with anyone an can win the tourneys.

We have got no clue how well they play tests aswell. Beating Lankans under Dilshan's captaincy & Beating a team that has no clue what spin in SC is all about isn't quiet a big achievement and that too on their turf.

Yes because although they scored over 300 v us, this is rare for Pak team now, the batsmen are ultra defensive. Their bowlers are good but we have the measure of them. I am not sure about T20, you can fluke those. Just takes a couple of guys to fire but I still back us to win.

Beating Lankans under Dilshan's captaincy & Beating a team that has no clue what spin in SC is all about isn't quiet a big achievement and that too on their turf. no they've got a good spin attack and decent test batsmen so will defeat england,australia,saffers on turners. mind the bold bit. kind of like how we'll lose to saffers,australia,england on green tracks. they'd lose against us anywhere any format as we suck against good pace and their fast bowlers suck. their spin bowling is good but we are expert spin players. if they had amir,asif then you could make a case of them defeating us on green tracks. that too is a if as their batsmen are *****ier than us on greentops + our trundlers will actually become a bit more effective on greentops but current scenario no chance. maybe an odi or t20 here or there but no chance of a series win.

We will play Ajmal and Rehman much much better which will negate their strength. Their seamers are not dangerous.

Because I know they are a lost cause and make a mockery of test cricket. SL had test status in 80's and look at the progression they made, despite civil war, smaller population.. Should help Ireland, Afghanistan. Both will be better than Bang.

And even if some deluded Pakis use the logic that Asia cup is greater than World Cup, remind them that we were Asia Cup champions from 88-97 (Covering their World Champions reign). That'll shut them up.
vvvslaxman Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I don't think this Asia cup was overly a joyous occasion for anyone.. Pakistan couldn't beat india, India couldn't make it to final, BD had a near miss, SL washed out.
