Given that he is larger than life in India and in the context of Indian cricket, I can't imagine them not checking if he will be available given that it was held in Mumbai.

You guys are trying to portray SRT as if he is selfish and only cares about his events and can't be bothered or can't adjust his itenarary for a special occasion of a long time collegues.. You guys are trying to portray as if SRT is pi$$ed off at RD for announcing his retirement suddenly and putting all the pressure and focus on SRT.. SRT had very little time to get his Toe checked up as he has to come back to Mumbai at the earliest to be present for more important issues like the MI teams preparations and start of IPL. He had very little window of time...
