Once the function starts they should have a video clipping of Tendulkar's 194* and Dravid calling them in declaring the innings. That would be a good prelude to the evening. All should go well after that. There has been a tv clip showing Ganguly gesturing Dravid minutes before he called out the declaration. It was Ganguly how pressed on the declaration.

Seems like he tried to accommodate individual goals to the extent they did not affect the team's goals, which is why he delayed the declaration.

It was a diredct question asked whether he was disappointed, he said yes, IMO anyone would be momuntarily disappointed and would be lying if he said no. I think Sachin thought they had more than enough time in the test(which proved correct) and Dravid thought with our bowlers we shouldnt take a chance (which was the correct decision)

I think they both are quite close otherwise. I am glad that he skipped it. It was totally RD event and I liked it that way.

Look at the last paragraph which is what talks about the reason for why he was upset. Apparently for all that he has done for the team, he expected the team to give something back. Are you kidding me? We have a test series to win and our man is more worried about getting to his 200. If anything, it is quite damning, as most people thought his response about being disappointed was a spur of the moment one to a question and nothing more.
