Mariyam Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Don't judge a book by its cover. Don't judge an IPL team by its Opener(s). Delhi looks strong on paper- with Sehwag and Warner opening. But its a weak side nonetheless. It was exposed last IPL and this season will be no different. Its better if IPL introduces the resign option, like you have in chess. That way we can all be spared from watching the Daredevils play.

shinchan Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 they lack in spin bowling department & also apart from viru no other notable indian batsman... but they have very good fast bowling department:bubblegum:

Sid Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Veeru Warner KP Mahela/Rosss Venu/Chand/Bisht Ojha Irfan Aaron Morkel/Russel(obviously he will bat higher) Yadav Nadeem Team looks better this year,ya a quality Indian spinner is missing but thats how it is .Till the time Russell is available, they should play him ahead of Morkel.Other option could be to play Van der Merwe ahead of Morkel and playing Sir Aggy in place of Nadeem.
Zelig Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Warner and KP will miss most of the season :orderorder: Viru Lady Lanka Birt (do yourselves a favor DD, play this guy) Taylor Venu N Ojha Irfan Pa Y Nagar Morne/Bracewell/Russell Agarkar/Salvi Aaron Not a bad team :hmmm:
Laaloo Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 DareDevils UNITE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheerleader: :mi:
chainsmoker1985 Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Seems like Daredevils owner are a big fast-bowling fanatics like us and don't give much importance to spin-bowling. But, spin plays bigger part in T20 matches. They will miss it fore-sure
Zelig Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Fast bowlers will fair better than spinners on the Kotla wicket. You might ask what about the away matches. Well, a team needs around 16-18 points to qualify for KO and if it wins 5 outta 8 home games, it should be in a better position to proceed to the next round.
Ram Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Delhi sucks so bad, just playing all the league games this time will be an improvement for them.
Desi Cartman Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 in b4 another massive fail :headshake: btw when does the circus start ?
