Magneto Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 The difference between the two teams is frankly the no. of wides bowled. Pune bowled 12 wides. KKR bowled 5. The difference is 7. :--D
Magneto Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 Replace ganguly okay' date='but replace with who? 25% fit yuvi?[/quote'] If you have to replace Ganguly in terms of performance, you'll have to replace Uthappa and Pandey as well. And all the firangs except Smith.

King Khan Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Clarkey's done nothing in these 3 matches. No one hands over captaincy like that pointlessly. Smith is lucky he's been able to show off his skills as he plays for Pune. He wouldn't have been in the first XI had he played for another team. Its not really pointless when Sanga made decision to step down and having a break. My choice of Clarkey for being captaincy to use up a very compitant captain of an international side that is in verge of making in #1 side; a definite 2nd choice in a squad like Pune has atm. BTW you dont really need to show out anything to take seat for captaincy, specially when a retired fellow is strugling with a team like Pune. Just check out how Clarkey step forwad with consulting Saurav, pumping up bowlers & fielderas even after a silly drop catch by dinda; when KKR was bashing hard in their opening stand.

Clarkey is not going great guns either. He doesn't even play T20 for his country, so his expertise in T20s is as questionable. Sanga sitting out on a difficult pitch is not example enough for everyone else to sit out. It's completely Sanga's personal decision, and that decision backfired as well. Clarke has no credentials to captain a T20 side; especially when he's just joined the team halfway, and has done nothing of note in the tournament yet.
Ram Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 You have to feel for the Pune puppies.. not only do they have the worst team, they have some of the impish fans who go around trash-talking when their team keeps losing and keep embarrassing themselves..! :hahaha:

Keeps trying to do behind-the-door politics but gets caught with his pants down :hehe:
King Khan Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Smith is lucky he's been able to show off his skills as he plays for Pune. He wouldn't have been in the first XI had he played for another team. Its not just the fans that found Smith as a new rising talent, but the Pune mgt also. So they are trying use up most of him playing different batting order (unlike Saurav doing it himself to regain his form). He is playing for Australia national side very regularly for t20Is. His ability to finding blind spots in increased rate while playing depth overs, making him best strikerate batsman so far in this IPL. I'm skiping praising his fileding & bowling ability not to point out more of his talent.
bulbul Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 4 matches 4 wins...may nto be impossible..DC done it on 2010

Magneto Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 Our fight currently is clearly with the kitties, :rr: and :dc: and anything is possible. :pw: should now try its best to come 6th at least. DC, KKR and MI will clearly qualify and one out of csk and rcb will qualify. RR beating Kitties is a good result for us in that way.
