Trichromatic Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 He should have been last among non-performers to be axed.
indiefan Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Dravid in the post match analysis was saying that Zaheer is not fit enough to play a 4 match test series. In that case, it's a good reason to drop him from the next match.

In that case' date=' it's a good reason to drop him from the next match.[/quote'] Did he not play the australian series.Zaheer has not bowled that much overs in the series anyway.
Spiderguy252 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Please tell me Ravindra Jadeja won't play Rahane will come in right? Even at #6? Seriously, Jadeja is C.R.A.P.

In that case' date=' it's a good reason to drop him from the next match.[/quote'] Yes, he bowled 31 overs in this match and the next test is 3 days away and he could be required to bowl another 30. Not sure he will be quite up to it at the age of 34. If fitness is not an issue, he shouldnt have been dropped. He has done decently well in this series compared to other non performers.
Spiderguy252 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 ridiculous thread mods please close it. So you've never seen Jadeja in the numerous ODIs he's been a part of?
namasteji1 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Just look at his fielding, no doubt his bowling was ok, but in terms of fitness, he was right to be dropped.
indiefan Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 I do hope Chawla doesn't make it to the final 11 ahead of others..
namasteji1 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 ridiculous thread mods please close it. Yep, +1, far too many threads started .
BERGKAMP Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 So you've never seen Jadeja in the numerous ODIs he's been a part of? he is a pure cricketer, he will excel in the longer format. not really made for the shortened version.
VRV Singh Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 He should have been last among non-performers to be axed. Yes, it is just to make it look like they are making changes and detract from non-performance of others. I do not agree with this decision at all even if I agree he has not performed. Ishant Sharma, are you kidding me.
rkt.india Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 It was a flat patta in last ranji trophy round.
Sandeep99 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 I doubt if Sirji debuts in the place of Ojha, although highly unlikely! But yes, Ojha would logically come in place of Yuvraj..
kubrickian Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 So much negativity here about players who havent even made their debut yet. I bet none of you have seen him play in the longer version, how can you write him off ? Whether he succeeds or not is a different issue. He has earned the right to be in the squad if not play for the test side with decent performances in Ranji over guys like Chawla or Vijay or Rohit Sharma. We dont have Sobers or Richards waiting in the sidelines.
BERGKAMP Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 they need to gamble and make it a pure dirty nasty turner where the match will be over in 3 days.
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Nagpur has not been a patta in the past, we are losing ffs why does it matter if you lose 2-1 or 3-1? Any reasonable selector would know to make it a total turner and dropping Zak suggests we will play 3 spinners Ashin+Ojha+Chawla+Awana/Ishant

We have Rahane and Tiwary who are clearly better batsmen.
