Rohit S. Ambani Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Rahul & VVS should have waited until the end of ENG series What was urgent need to retire? We missed both of them! This pitch, attack and match was tailor-made for them, could have bailed us out.
Sean Bradley Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 They were past their prime, if only sachin should retire.
Sidhoni Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 They retired at the right time. Would have been great had Sachin followed them.
CG Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Great that they showed finger to dhoni and retired.
Nova Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Whaaaaat? No... good they retired. We need to look at upcoming stars now instead of relying on past glories and have beens. In the rebuilding process, if we lose some matches, its ok. But this is NOT an excuse to backtrack and lament over the retirement of ex-players.
bihutoli Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Moments like this are a great time to come to the internet and tell others what crap fans they are.
Trichromatic Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 When Sandeep Patil & Co declared the India â squad to take on England in Mumbai (from October 30), they probably conveyed something. Selection will be merit based. More... Sorry Alastair, no favours Published: Thursday, Oct 25, 2012, 8:00 IST By DNA Correspondent | Place: Mumbai | Agency: DNA It seems that our spinners practice more than their batsmen. Never thought it was a good decision to hide spinners and probably they are paying for it now.
Trichromatic Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 In fact England have not much to lose here. Even if they manage to draw' date=' it will be good result for them. But if India loses this series then it would be ultimate disaster after 8-0.[/quote'] England has already done well so far now and are easily ahead of Indian team.
jairamesh Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 3. Not only England have troubles with spinners, so does India. This is very worrying, depressing and embarrassing.
NareshK Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Sachin, Dravid and VVS should have retired even before the overseas England tour. Kohli, Pujara, Rahane, Tiwary should have been given as many opportunities as possible.
Number Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 VVS shouldn't have retired. Here we have our own version of Boom Booms like Raina and Yuvraj playing in his place. It's like retiring a pilot because he is old and putting a monkey in his seat.
Crookbond Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 This is very worrying' date=' depressing and embarrassing.[/quote'] If you go to back to Raina, Yuvraj etc. you can not expect more.
The Dark Horse Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 The below players shouldn't be playing : Srt Bhajji UV Zaheer Maybe even gautam We have lost because our selectors refuse to do the right thing and our team refuses to use DRS. IMO this is a deserved result +1. Except that I would have Zaheer in and Dhoni out of the squad. If half the team(along with the captain) is out of form/useless you couldn't do much.
bajrang Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 OP should be castrated, so no future generation of his, make crappy thread like this.
jairamesh Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Test 1: England walloped by 9 wkts Test 2: India walloped by 10 wkts So England currently out walloping India.
Nova Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Dumbness personified. Never be arrogant and underestimate your opposition. :headshake:
NareshK Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 England never win in India ? They won a test match in 2008 when they last toured India. They take test matches very seriously and generally dont play spin well but they have a couple of good batsmen and they have been playing in SC regularly over the past couple of years. So it will be a good contest from here.
