It's not just this series. Now almost every major series takes a trend and becomes one sided. Hardly any close tests. India in Eng and Aus were high profile series but turned into one sided affairs. SA in Eng was again disappointing. This series was expected to be one sided in favour of Ind but it looks to be going the other way. Still no close games. First two tests were one sided and this one is heading that way.

Dravid repeatedly highlighted it is imperative to score big in the first innings. Last 3 times we made 600 plus. Day 2 and Day 3 are excellent to bat on. We couldn't even do anything on a turning pitch. What are the odds on this pitch against a resurgent England side. This is exactly what i was worried. After first test India came out winners. But England clearly showed marked improvement in the second innings. They did better in the 1st innings of second test. England kept getting better and better in both departments where as India got worse and worse.

I have never seen such a helpless Indian side in the home conditions.. can you guys recall? Even against the great Australian side during the series we lost we were always in the game in some of the tests. Heck. But for rain we would have tied the series. In the last 1 year we have a grand total of 6 test centuries. Pujara 3. Kohli 2. Viru 1. That's about it.
