PaceAttack Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 No use talking about these bowlers. Our beloved caption would select PK and VK :hysterical:
express bowling Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 UY consistently bowling at around 145 k with a fastest of 148 k in IPL 5. But he is not bowling well, especially in the earlier overs of a T20 match. He seriously needs to bowl to a plan. Otherwise he will find himself out of limited overs' cricket. I feel he is suited to just test cricket as of now where his erratic deliveries at high pace often lead to wickets.
ShebbySB Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I was utterly surprised to see Shukla clocking those speeds. We need to see him in more matches. No way he's a medium pacer plus he looked quicker than the speed guns showed.

I feel he is suited to just test cricket as of now where his erratic deliveries at high pace often lead to wickets. UY's problem is his quick arm action and balance at the delivery stride. His quick arm action certainly leads to some waywardness at times and other than that, his front foot is not balanced in his delivery stride which leads fuller yorker length deliveries to be not as accurate and effective some times and ends in low full tosses. He some times delivers the ball before his front foot lands on the crease which leads to loss of control. He needs to bowl fuller length as much possible rather than shorter.

rkt.india Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 But not consistent in the shorter format. Bowling without any plan. He is not consistent even in test matches, but has the ability to bowl wicket taking balls which has maintained his SR at good a number till now but his economy and averages are high as he concedes too many runs.
ShebbySB Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 well if he was a genuine quick he would ve still clocked some one 140's even out of rhythm still he is not complete shyte or anything bowled some good balls but long long way to go! He was playing infront of a big crowd first time in his life against a formidable batting unit.Still I was expecting 138-142kph from him but he really dissapointed with his speeds.I'm not his relative or anything that I'll hype him insane.I saw him clocking 145-147 kph in the nets in a 6 overs spell & hell he was quicker than Aaron.Surprisingly his action looks better & body looks fitter, leaner & stronger. So there is not much to say.......We've to see him in more matches.

rkt.india Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 maybe its harde to clock 140k with control in real match scenario ? yes he needs more matches and tbh he looked decent enough.. much better then rp Yes. He did not bowl many bad balls, was decent, but will to show much more than that to prove he belongs to the highest level.
Old guy Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Yes. He did not bowl many bad balls' date=' was decent, but will to show much more than that to prove he belongs to the highest level.[/quote'] no said he is good enough for internationals but isnt ipl for developing these type of bowlers? :hmmm:
bajrang Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 well if he was a genuine quick he would ve still clocked some one 140's even out of rhythm still he is not complete shyte or anything bowled some good balls but long long way to go! aaron, umesh, shami all clocked 140 in their first IPL over itself, i think umesh and shami both bowled 140 + in the very first ball they bowled, this guy went from 135 to 125. :hysterical:

vishalvirsingh Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 Umesh is most suitable for Tests and One days T20"s - No he does not suit T 20"s.
Old guy Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 How s Awanna bowling today? pretty good at death.. there was one edge in first over and dropped catch by chawla so over all pretty good much better then other indian tundlers
