when Ashwin called India as underdogs. lot of us were up in the air criticizing him. Some of our fans genuine believed subcontinental conditions would make us favorites. I never for one moment believe India would be qualified for next round. Given the form, sentimental selection, mental captaincy, demented openers, detrimental bowling (wow i did a rajinikanth there) warnings were miles away that we were going to be walloped. Infact i expected even Zak to be ripped apart. But he stepped up. Rest of the stuffs were fairly , easily predictable. Our fans have to stop expecting anything from our T20 side. There are 1000s of factors have to go right for India to earn a win in T20 not just rain, umpires.

Bowling was pathetic. Now we need to win 4 matches in a row and we should support our team but Dhoni has to get back Sehwag and keep out Chawla and not tamper with batting order unless its an absolute must. Besides Dhoni should stup trying to emulate Misbah and try to hit a few out of ground even if it is risking his wicket early. Also give sehwag and Yuvraj licence to hit and not worry about their wicket. Only way we can win 4 in row is if we score at 10 runs per over for atleast 18 overs out of 20.

We won the 2007 WC by playing the matches without fear. Fearless cricket was the mantra till he gave the final over to Joginder sharma. We should play the same brand of cricket again. Bring in Sehwag and don't worry about bowling much. Using 5 bowlers won't work.
