It helped economy,helped players who may not earn fraction of money which they should have earned in life time within short term.. more importnatly its became a highly enetrtaiming 2 months for people of India , a hangout for freinds for 3/4 hours without worrieng too much over very very finer detail.s of game.. What else you want ?? this.

someone Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Well this kind of thread certainly puzzles me. What exactly do some fans want of IPL? Do they want IPL to give all the batsmans + bowlers? Actually, I do not even think that would please those haters, they simply demand too much out of tournament held for 2 months. So just as dumdumdigadiga wrote, it is those things are should be noticed.

The problem is what it has taken away, what are the opportunities we have lost, how has it completely distorted priorities when it comes to playing for India, how it has turned the grat game into a charade.

Just because it has added more competition in cricket, you believe it has taken opportunities away.

It was never to be a panacea for the ills surrounding Indian cricket. if people expected otherwise, then their expectations are what needs to be corrected.

They are there to run the business. The only direct benefit is - extra money in BCCI pockets and not some other private organization, now only if they can utilize the money wisely.

I see so if I increase the frequency of sub standard cricket, it will increase the competition in cricket. I am sure that is logic BCCI is also applying.
vvvslaxman Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 India's T20 performance post IPL against top teams 6 won 13 lost. From a result perspective it did jack sh**. Infact foreigners gained more with presence of foreign coaches. They got to know the conditions in India better.
