speed_demon Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 The lad from Bengal is only 19 yrs of age but he was complimenting steyn well. He managed to trouble KKR batsman with the bounce and pace , consistently between 138- 142 kmph. I,m happy to see some new players coming through.
Old guy Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Good potential 140 at 19..candef increase pace And being from Bengal conditions would be in his favour
rkt.india Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Good potential. Tall 6'3" or maybe 6'4" as a commentator mentioned yesterday. Decent pace for 19 year old. Strong lad.
shibnarayan Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Also got good batting temperament.....even ganguli was impressed in ranji
speed_demon Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 http://www.espncricinfo.com/indian-premier-league-2012/content/story/562304.html?CMP=outlook_news Here Lehman mentions that he troubled KKR batsmen a lot, till the extent of saying toward wont play for India for long.
Sooda Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 ^ He was saying that about Tiwary, which I thought is harsh. Hope he has a great career and stuffs those words down Lehmanns throat Posted by chilled_avenger on (April 23 2012, 14:40 PM GMT) Lehmann,if Batsmen were judged on the basis of how they handle Dale Steyn then I don't think many batsman will be getting chances in International cricket! That guy is the best bowler in the World right now,and probably on his way among the All-time greats. Do you really expect Manoj Tiwary to belt Steyn for boundries around the park? Just thank your stars that you have at least one performing player like Steyn in your Team
Pagalpanti Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Tiwary has always looked susceptible against pace. Will be a good accumulator in sub-continent condition though, has good temperament.
Dravid_TheWall Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Yes, I saw this guy. Was impressed. He has a good base to work with.
Laaloo Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Let's hope our team management decides to invest in a future prospect like him than that loser sreesanth
MCcricket Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Veer is impressive at this age with good action, tall bowler , can bowl in good areas, India seems to now regularly getting guys who can bowl in 140's but the problem is nurturing and grooming them for then next level.
ShebbySB Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I've said this earlier that Bengal & the eastzone is producing some better fast bowlers than some other parts of India.Bengal has Shami,Dinda & Veer & there is Varun Aaron & Rahul Shukla from Jharkhand & Abu Nechim & Pritam Das from Assam all are capable of generating pace & very young.Veer is only 19 & he's probably the best bowler in India at that age group.
NareshK Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 A long, long way to go before he could even be considered for selection.
