Considering the amount of cricket ahead Kohli deserves the rest plus he's already a regular in all 3 formats Mandeep Singh should definitely be in this series, Dhawan is never going to make our test squad

He wasnt even sure in xi just two tests back. I would liked him to play here for Dhawan while rahane open. This is the time he could have had some precious experience. This is what England do with their young players nowadays.

But it will rob chance of another youngster as Kohli is a dead cert after his Australian tour and Dravid's retirement.

Its dhawan who he would have selected for. Its also about giving them experience and exposure at this level to a core group which going to succeed the old horses rather than bleeding in too many.
