Amongst recent ads, I like Aamir's Tata Sky ads, the recent Titan ad of Aamir, to some extent even the recent Mahindra ad of Aamir, Amitabh's Gujarat tourism ads, Sachin's ads etc. Amongst funny and interesting ads of recent times, I like nearly all the Bingo ads, Dhoni's ads etc. Sorry I am a bit biased towards Aamir because I am a huge fan of him. :P But most of his ads are meaningful and to the point instead of being too flashy and I like that. xoIj-buOBsM

I will not work with a company who sends it's managing director to repair computers because "kaam kaam hota hai". What BS.

If this is stupid what would do you have to say about the recent SRK ad where he drives his i10 from Delhi showroom to Mumbai on a test drive or the Amitabh ad where he starts playing movie for all the villagers on his mobile phone as it so many people can watch a move on a tiny screen. :haha: Regarding the ad I agree with Domaink point that this might also imply that there is scarcity of employees in the company for which even the managing director needed to come for repairs. But I have met with many officers etc. who sometimes themselves visit the customers if there are repeated complaints by the customer. Maybe he was just to check the status of the complaint on way to office in the ad. :--D

Normally bike ads are flashy and others including Hritik and Sachin have done ads riding through desert, cyclone and what not. Normally bike ads are a bit macho but Aamir is trying to ad a new theme to bike ads too by giving social message in a bike ad which might not be accepted. But then you cannot say that the ad will fail as everything that does not work with anyone else seems to work with Aamir and he makes brands big by just lending his name. The brand Aamir and the trust attached to it is just too much in the Indian market. He has almost got the Midas touch in recent years due to the trust factor. A very good example is the Samsung mobile market. Before Aamir became the brand ambassador Samsung mobile was just a small player in the Indian mobile market with Nokia almost dominating the mobile market a few years ago. But Aaamir changed this with his ads and with good phones also being taken out by Samsung. Samsung first started to give competition to Nokia when the first Samsung Guru ads of Aamir came out and it started selling like hotcakes and Samsung was also making a big dent in the Nokia market. After that Samsung came out with the Corby series and almost destroyed the Nokia monopoly in the Indian market and giving them a run for their money. It was only after seeing the success of Samsung after Aamir's Samsung Guru ad that all the new mobile companies started springing overnight in the last couple of years. So, Aamir works on almost all times though it might not be conventional. I am not sure if this Mahindra ad would work but the Aamir trust factor is just too much that it might also do the magic amongst the masses.
