rkt.india Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 No worries. Next season we should buy this Narine dudester. Some seats are getting cold. Mystery will be resolved by then like Mendis. :giggle:
CSK Fan Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Mystery will be resolved by then like Mendis. :giggle: yeah, yesterday Akram was giving his secrets out
Zelig Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Narine doesn't depend on mystery. There is more to like about his bowling than Mendis. There are just three kinda bowls in his arsenal, anyway. First of all, he flights the ball...he has a lovely loop and when he spins, he spins it big. And secondly, his high arm action helps the ball to bounce. Narine is here to stay. If he keeps his head down and works hard, dare I say, he would go on and become an all time great (provided he skips a few IPL matches for Tests).
Roshanrocks Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Gambhir must have learnt to play Narine by now :hmmm: and he will disclose the secrets to the others during the WC
Prakat Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 yeah' date=' yesterday Akram was giving his secrets out[/quote'] What happened? I missed it.

Batsmen struggle against him not because he turns the ball or gives loops or get bounce, but because they dont know which way the ball is turning, once they start reading him, his effect will be reduced.
Stuge Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Narine is being shown respect let him play a test match or two and he will like to seat in the spectators stand :P
kabira Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 well even Ashwin was secret weapon in first few seasons and now he is picked easily...sooner or later Narine will be picked by everyone.
adi B Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Sachin used to play spinners better when he had nimble feet movement. Nowadays he gets stuck on the crease and tries to lunge and play. ya, with those bumpy pads on, he mostly gets out to left arm spinners who get the ball to angle in...panesar used to get him out, shakib nearly got him out... he cant pick narine, ajmal as simple as that
adi B Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 narine bowls well, this guy mostly bowls the regular off spin, which mind u does spin a lot... the problem is it is difficult to differentiate b/w his normal delivery (off spinner) nd the other one or the carrom type ball..both balls are almost released from similar positions, with just a little change in finger position, considering he bowls from a greater height due to his action, it makes it even difficult to pick... but a batsman should try to play him as a normal offie who spins the ball into the rhb, bcoz he rarely bowls he other one
Executioner Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 lol @ people comparing with ashwin. Ashwin effect was nowhere near the narine effect. And to add to that narines ability to turn the ball so much and turn it in diff. direction makes him so lethal

Crookbond Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Sachin smashed Akram in WC 2003. It doesn't make him any less a bowler just like Narine being smashed by Sehwag during 219 doesn't make him a bad bowler.
GautiMaan Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 He will be handled easily by team India.Sehwag,Gauti,Kohli will have no trouble reading him.The other teams might struggle

Prakat Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 no he didn't he samshed waqar and shoaib but yeh i get your point No Ways. SRK hired Shoaib.
Raghav_12 Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Narine is being shown respect let him play a test match or two and he will like to seat in the spectators stand :P Agree with that. In test matches people would have more time to read his balls and solve the mystery. He may not become as flat as Medis did, but I don't think he's gonna continue like this for long. On current form :hatsoff: to him.
