Jersey #10 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 He was good all along but I wasn't convinced. Today, everyone said that choosing 3 specialist spinners was a bad idea but Gambhir believed otherwise. Excellent field placement Excellent rotation of the bowlers :mi: lost by 32 runs against a bowling line up that seemed ordinary (apart from Narine, ofcourse). Gambhir for Indian captain :hatsoff:
Cricketics Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Jesus, I was about to create this thread. He has been a great captain. All commentators have been calling and fools on icf on twitter about his poor choice of playing 3 spinners on different pitches and stuff. Guy has won all the battles. Exceptional captaincy
vvvslaxman Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 There are some good qualities in him. He never lets up
gaurav92 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 A captain is as good a his team, and Gambhir has the team. Its actually a shame that it took him that long to make it to the play offs.
Executioner Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 the guy proves me wrong however, the reason why things looked good because the Bhatia gambhir relationship withering. Bhatia was a mere spectator today and gambhir was found jumping over mccullum like crazy. a break up will be witnessed soon. But gotta give credit to the bowlers, none of the 3, sakib, abdullah or narine bowled poor deliveries. Infact, sakib shudve gotten tendu out first ball, the Umpiring has been very ordinary

KKr are through bcoz of gauti and narine
BERGKAMP Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 We should go the England route of 3 capi's. GAuti - Tests. Dhoni - ODIs. Virat - T20s. Would ease the work load for each and a fresh approach in different formats would keep the side on their toes and give more chance of success.
Number Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Gautam the batsman has been hiding the blunders Gautam the captain has made while picking their XI at times. Though his on field captaincy has been good.

Virat is far from ready to take on any international side, forget the most egoistic Indian side. Gauti should cap all three or Dhoni should cap all three.
SLICKR392 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 I would rather go for Gauti : Test MSD : T20 & ODI Atleast Gauti has got the balls to drop players who don't perform. Be it Raina, Jadeja or the seniors. If it was him captaining the Aus test...Laxman would have been dropped in the perth Test. Dhoni and Virat are busy acting in lame ads.

SLICKR392 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Bhatia ? :dontknow: He might not do the same when he leads India. But am pretty sure he won't drop Viru no matter how out of form he might be.
