In India you will find tons of people preferring the fair skin for their sexual fantasies but very rarely would you get discriminated against for a job or something similar because of a darker complexion. Of course, India compensates for it's liberalism in skin color by murdering and rioting with people who don't belong to the same caste or religion as they do.
