surajmal
Usually you can tell by numbers when an impartial distibution has happened. Its the very basis of any statistical analysis. So if you take a population sample and you find anomolies (like % of tickets for muslims vs % of muslim in Gujrat) then the data indicates bias. In a normal distribution of data' date=' the ticket distribution % will be similar to the population distribution[/quote'] So Army is not secular since Muslim representation isn't reflective of the demographics. Party workers based on the decided criteria of seniority, win-ability etc should get the ticket. Dont bring religion in this.
The Outsider
Why? Why should in a Secular country we should care of which community has got tickets or not? What next should I ask why so less Rajputs have got ticket in Gujarat? Why no Bihari have got tickets despite having big population? Tell me, will Modi turn secular if he gives ticket to Muslims. Tickets are distributed as per merit. Its not a right perspective to have. Because of conditions are amenable to Muslims then through natural process they will have a presence. It's true in almost all facets in India, where they are not systematically discriminated against. Yes, their representation in private sector jobs, army, or the police is not in direct proportion of their population. However, they are there in significant numbers and there are local and community specific factors at play which decide that. Similarly, Sikhs and Jats have a very high representation in the army or Muslims being more dominant than their population in arts and cinema. What we are talking about here is shunya or close to shunya, which can only happen through systematic discrimination.

I'd guess less than 2% of guj bjp workers. 2% comes to abt 3 seats anyways. Dont think abt muslim percentage in everthing. There's no discrimination with muslim tht disallows them to be bjp worker

Have you even compared how they were in past vs now? Have you even asked yourself what are Muslims doing in other states? Do you always whine constantly with your weird personal opinion. And I haven't even started on how secular is for you all about Muslims, how Sikhs + Jews,or many minorities are negligible for you, how Hindus victims or non-Gujarat based Muslims are always irrelevant and non existent for you, how riots other than 2002 is secular and perfectly normal for you?
