ravishingravi Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 The congress needs to adopt a different approach to Modi. They have tried the butcher comments and its not worked. They need to counter Modi via the development plank. Which means sitting down and coming together with an economic plan. The era of secular and subsidies is over. It is difficult. Just like how ur us difficult for online seculars. They have not invested much time in the past and it will take a long time to set the platform.

diga Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Tharoor praised Modi. Aiyar called Tharoor chameleon and immature. :hysterical: Tharoor knows which way the wind is blowing... But Aiyar's comments reeks of a person unable to come to terms with reality. Only if Aiyar comes out of his sycophantic mentality & starts saying things wrong with Rahul/Sonia, may help improve congress
Khalpat Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Modi Mantra for MPs: Stop Touching Feet of Leaders At the first meeting of the BJP's parliamentary party after the election of the 16th Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly handed out some advice to party MPs today, including asking them to stop greeting senior leaders by touching their feet. (Also Read: Sumitra Mahajan Elected New Speaker of Lok Sabha) Mr Modi, who is also the leader of the party in the Lok Sabha, has reportedly stressed that the BJP's members of Parliament must always be well prepared before speaking in the House and must have the "right perspective" on issues so as not to strike a discordant note or one that is not in line with the party's views. (PM Modi Leads Newly-Elected MPs as They Take Oath in Lok Sabha) He has reportedly also emphasised that the MPs must "work hard and study hard." Senior leaders said the suggestion that they stop touching the feet of other leaders is a bid by the Prime Minister to end what is seen as a culture of sycophancy and currying favour. (We Will Work for the Hopes and Dreams of People: PM Modi) The meeting was held in the Central Hall of Parliament since the committee room where the BJP held meetings till the last time is not big enough to accommodate the current strength of the party, which now has 282 seats in the Lok Sabha. It had only 116 in the previous Lok Sabha. (16th Lok Sabha: Ten Interesting Facts) Sources said Mr Modi, party patriarch LK Advani, BJP president Rajnath Singh, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley sat on the dais facing the other MPs, among whom seniors like Sushma Swaraj, Nitin Gadkari and Murli Manhoar Joshi sat in the front row. (Also Read: 10 Facts on Lok Sabha Oath-Taking Ceremony) This one aspect of Indian Culture which has been so much misused by politicians and their chamchas. I agree with the sentiment.

Desi Cartman Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Aiyar has always made OTT comments about Modi. I watched 3 hrs of NDTV on the day of the results to see his face but they didnt ask him more than a couple of questions. His expressions while discussing modi were always epic. Before elections discussing NaMo After elections
Texan Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Aiyar's quote on NDTV: "My job is to keep red alert on a man whose past record does not inspire confidence." made me :hysterical: So, the guy who India overwhelmingly chose to lead the country will be kept on a red alert by the guy who lost even his deposit in his constituency :cantstop:

Texan Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Mani Shankar Aiyer has lost the plot, now calling Tharoor virtually a BJP man and a Modi sychophant An experienced sychophant sermonising others on sycophancy:hysterical: They are all always in the race for Gandhi family's Chamcha number one contest. Aiyar is by far the leader of that group. He would have virtually been nothing if not for the Gandhi family.
