Crookbond Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Prices of generic medicines are still under the control... Take the anti-cancer drugs for example nolvadex: generic names Tamoxifen/ Istubal/Valodex/Genox https://www.healthkartplus.com/details/drugs/36089/tamoxifen-100-mg costs about 38 for 100mg tablets Gleevec: generic names Imatib Alpha https://www.healthkartplus.com/details/drugs/14362/imatib-alpha-100-mg Rs. 850 for 1 Strip(s) (10 Capsules each) Geftinate:generic names Iressa/Gefitinib https://www.healthkartplus.com/details/drugs/11343/geftinat-250-mg MRP:Rs. 3400 for 1 Pack(s) (30 Tablets each) By chance, not by design.
hhunaeh Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Here is one more drug news Exclusive - India set to run out of critical free drug for HIV/AIDS programme (Reuters) - India could run out of a critical medicine in its free HIV/AIDS drugs programme in three weeks due to bureaucratic bungling, a senior government official said, leaving more than 150,000 sufferers without life-saving drugs for about a month. Missed dosages for long durations can increase patients' drug resistance and result in faster spread of the virus, while changes in medication regimens expose patients to side effects. The supply crunch will be an embarrassment for the four-month-old government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has promised to deliver more affordable and better health services. As drugs in the open market are expensive, the government provides more than one-third of India's 2.1 million HIV/AIDS patients with free antiretroviral drugs that are procured from pharmaceutical companies via a tender process. Delays in approving such tenders has left the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) scrambling to secure supplies of tenofovir/lamivudine tablets that are prescribed to thousands of patients during initial stages of treatment..............

Khalpat Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Heard Modi's speech on radio today. I would definitely say he has been the best Prime Minister of India since Pt. Jawahrlal Nehru who connects with people in a very good manner. I have heard that Panditjee was also good in this. The speech was informal and the story telling method was brilliant. It was not like a politician was reading something and giving speech to the people. Everything seemed to be done without any rehersal and was instantaneous. Having said that I am still not able to understand what exactly he meant by the story of Lion and Sheep. He is the PM of country and nothing can be better than connecting with people using all the platforms but he will have to be clear with the content. This story was good but it did not made any sense as per current perspective. Who is the second lion? Who are the sheeps?
coffee_rules Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 It could be because of the USA trip and Oct 2 initiatives, but too much of him in public space could also cause a negative reaction. Kitna baat karta hain was my first reaction. A lower profile wouldn't hurt and help him focus on the implementation of his policies.
hhunaeh Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 It is campaigning for maharashtra and haryana elections. We had a daily dose of hindutva before UP elections. That failed, so yogi and co have been asked to shut up, the strategy this time is development and modi blitz. So it will be speech after speech from now on. Lot more is coming :giggle:

Lot more is coming :giggle:[/quote'] There is a large scale RSS deployment in rural maharashtra Hindutva is still very much the game plan. Only difference is rather than concentrate it through one man they are doing it through an army of sangh pracharaks. Secondly, hindutva in maharashtra does not make much sense when the Sena are more hardline on some hindutva matters. Maharashtra is one state where there exists a party to the right of the bjp in the political spectrum. To claim that the BJP have given up its hindutva plank is naive at best.

When did i say bjp has given up on hindutva? They might need it in future elections if modi and development fails in the upcoming election. All i am saying is modi whom people were comparing to maun mohan a month or so ago can't seem to keep quiet these days and people who were making stupid statements have gone silent. See how the rss took care not make any stupid statements in its bhagwat's speech today? A month or so ago he would have said something like all indians are hindus or something to that effect. Today he was silent on that front. It was a safe speech. And modi is supposed to do 13 or so rallies before the elections. So you know what the emphasis is this time. :cantstop:
hhunaeh Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 "Self-centred collective greed gives rise to exploitation, suppression, violence and fanaticism. The basis of selfish interest by the western countries is fully responsible for a new incarnation of terror and fundamentalism that emerged in West Asia in the name of ISIS which is terrorizing the world," Is this bhagwatji from today's speech or some libtard apologist's whining? :--D

The point is that there are various ways in which you can deliver hindutva. Via the grassroots or concentrated via a single campaigner. You also cannot compare an assembly run off to a full fledged assembly election. Take Viderbha, the BJP call in that region has always been for statehood. Thats a place where the Sangh headquarters stand. They dont need hindutva or development or Modi when they have a slogan to campaign for. So why make any statements in that region when you have an issue to campaign for?

I don't know how much the grassroot people can deliver when the one's at the top refuse to speak about the great cause and switch over to development and modi. I mean they silently did away with the grand mahasabha or some thing on love jihad that was supposed to happen in UP after the elections and nobody noticed either at the top or in the grass roots. :cantstop:

In mumbai the BJP will be forced to talk about development. The sena have the hindutva angle covered. In rural areas they will talk hindutva + agri. You have to keep in mind that maharashtra is a big state with different local realities within the state. You cannot have a pan maharashtra strategy. In Haryana for example the BJP are setting themselves up as a non jat alternative. Even Jats are Hindus. Hindutva makes no sense. The BJP have formed governments in states like Jharkhand without using Hindutva. They have managed to win over tribal via other issues. Hindutva has worked for the BJP in the 90s in UP. They will evaluate their strategy for the assembly polls in UP.

rkt.india Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 When BJP won LS in UP, they all said they won because of communal polarization and now just because they didn't win most of the seats in by-election of UP, they are saying they lost because they tried to do communal polarization so people rejected them. Now which of their statement is right?
