i am so happy that Jaddu and PK are dropped- great decision. i am a BIG fan of Yusuf Pathan but still I am happy that He is dropped as the message to him should be clear that he should become a better batsman and a better bowler and only then he will be selected. he cannot sustain a career by being just a great SLOGGER.He is a batter who does not know how to handle a bouncing ball and is definitely nothing more than a part time bowler- he needs to improve in both aspects. irfan is also a cool guy and I like his spirit but it seems his bowling is still not there - i would have selected him into the team for sure though. I beleive a lot on his batting skills and i feel he has great eyesight and hand eye coordination and he bats really well....lil disappointed that he is dropped but i wud want him to improve his pace as a pace bowler. one thing which disappoints is he thinks he is a swing bowler and which he is but if he swings at 120K to 125K, he wont easily fetch wickets he needs to swing at 133 to 139k. All others r great- Umesh is a better test bowler than 1 days but i think he does not need more rest and instead needs to play so good that he is selected..same logic for ZAK. Varun Aroon showed a bit of immaturity during the last IPL match and it looked as if he needs to play a little more before he becomes an automatic choice for India. Vinay kumar is one guy who has the capability to bowl 140+ but still some times slows down - lets see how he performs. Dinda is one Man who gets a chance thanks to his windies performance - looks like he is confident and will perform. ojha is a top spinner and it seems he may play along with ashwin in a few matches zak yadav dinda ojha ashwin is a dangerous bowling attack- only ashwin bats a lil. Gauti ,Sehwag , Rahane/rohit , Virat, Raina, dhoni is my combination for batting. i will prefer to have 6 batters and 5 bowlers.

I would have preferred Amit Mishra to Rahul Sharma, because he is a better leg spinner. Also would have liked to have seen one newcomer in the squad from among -Shami Ahmed, Jalaj Saxena or Mandeep Singh. But overall a good selection..Maybe selectors wanted to give one more opportunity to Rahul Sharma. If he messes up this time I think he is out.

Now something like the Monsoon has arrived, and it has cooled down. But the El Nino is evident (beware guys in India, you'll get hit too. Here we get the monsoon earlier than you guys). Hambantota anyway will be dry, and can expect temperatures of 32 in the evening and about 25 at night. It will be dry and players will find it easy. But the ground is humungous, ball will swing, pitch is lively and batting will test the fitness. Pallekele will get some rain. Temperatures will be 29/23 range. If rain is not in the air will be dry and won't produce much swing. But the pitch provides ample movement. Colombo, you everyone knows.
hope matches dont get rained off...

Ojha aims for consistency Pragyan Ojha, the India left-arm spinner, has said he will aim for consistency after being picked in the national squad for the limited-overs tour of Sri Lanka later this month More... Ojha aims for consistency ESPNcricinfo staff July 5, 2012 Pragyan Ojha, the left-arm spinner, has said he will aim for consistency after being picked in the India squad for the limited-overs tour of Sri Lanka later this month. Ojha was not part of the squad that played the Asia Cup in Bangladesh in March, but was relieved to make a comeback. "Obviously, there is a sense of relief that I am back in the ODI scheme of things," Ojha told PTI. "Who isn't happy to wear the India jersey? I have been working very hard. I would like to let my performance do the talking for me. My aim is to perform consistently and play in all three formats for a long time." Ojha, who picked up nine wickets in nine games at 24.44 in the IPL, last played for India in the Test series against West Indies at home in November last year. However his last ODI was in Dambulla in Sri Lanka almost two years ago. He has picked up 20 wickets in 16 ODIs at 30.05. "The new season starts with this tour," he said. "Irrespective of the format, if you hit form early, it helps you to carry on with the momentum." Ojha, who plays for Hyderabad in the Ranji Trophy, has been practicing with his domestic side and has also played some club matches in Chennai. He is part of a three-man specialist spin line-up for the tour of Sri Lanka, along with offspinner R Ashwin and legspinner Rahul Sharma. "I have been trying out a few variations in the nets," Ojha said. "But I would only try bowling those deliveries once I am fully confident about using those deliveries in match situations. "Me and Ashwin have played against each other and together (for South Zone) since our U-16 days. When a quality bowler like Ashwin operates from the other end, you also get confidence." The squad also includes Ajinkya Rahane, back from an impressive IPL in which he finished as the fourth-highest run-getter. He made 560 runs at an average of 40 and also scored a couple of half-centuries in the limited-overs leg of the India A tour of the West Indies in June. "By nature, I am a positive person and I always like to look at the brighter side of things. During the final phase of the A tour, I scored 79 in the Twenty20 and 58 in a one-day match," Rahane told PTI. "Those two innings boosted my confidence and will hold me in good stead ahead of Sri Lanka series." Rahane last played for India in December last year. "The key to performing well overseas is to quickly adapt and adjust to various kind of pitches. I have never played in Sri Lanka but I don't think I will take much time to adjust to the situation out there."

SL to sweep ODIs 5-0. then play a school team in the t20 and still win it. you first heard it here.
:giggle: It's going to be 4-0 win for us, one match will be rained off. Also India loves 4-0 losses in their away tours. :cantstop: The T20 match is fixed.. :(( India will win it.
