Swing_n_Speed Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 So gentlemen what's your pre/post shaving regimen? If I have the time this is how I do it:- Pre Shower Dry-Up Apply Shaving Cream Press a hot towel over it ( 1-2 mins) Re-apply Shaving cream Shave Post Wash face Rub an ice cube over face Apply after shave balm (Nivea for men double action balm) Takes bout 5-10 mins. But for me this is the best way to get ready for the day ahead. Someone introduced me to this method of shaving and now I can never ever go back to my two minute shaves. From being a daily chore now I actually look forward to my daily shaves. So what bout you guys? How do you'll shave? is it a chore or an enjoyable experience?

ganeshran Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Apply gel Shave After shave lotion Wait till Stubble is noticeable in 1-2 days Repeat
vvvslaxman Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I don't use after shave at all. I always shave right after bath. Easier to shave.

Swing_n_Speed Posted June 20, 2012 Author Posted June 20, 2012 Hmm everyone runs through their shaves as fast as possible. Slow down guys. Take the time to enjoy the process. I find it to be very relaxing. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Drg5wyIhg8U]The Barber's Chair - YouTube[/ame] I wanna get my hands on one of these mists.

maniac Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Shave once a week.....still getting used to the process after all these years.....Very bad with sideburns....missed those days when I used to go to the local barber and pay 15 Rs and try various styles like DCH,French-beard,Goatee etc etc....Whenever I try it it myself it ends up with....Naaaah and just go with the clean shave look.
punjabi_khota Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I have very sensitive skin. So I try not to offend it. :phehehe:
asterix Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Apply gel/foam - dump - shave If not bothered with steamed mirror then: bath - apply gel/foam - shave In hurry: apply gel - brush - dump - carefully wash mouth - shave - wash mouth again
DomainK Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 1. Wet the skin 2. Apply foam - Nivea is the best. 3. Shave using a good razor. 4. Wash off the remaining foam from the face. 5. Carefully look for any patches still left, remove of any. 6. Apply after shave balm - best brands are Nivea and Loreal, preferably Nivea. 7. Look at the mirror and feel good. Notes: 1. Do not shave on running water. Save water. 2. Using foam instead of cream/gel and aftershave balm (Nivea especially) instead of aftershave lotion is good for the skin - especially if you have dry skin. Joke: The best use of shaving cream/gel/foam is it's use as a marker on the skin to know which part of the skin you have already shaved. :D
