Dravid_TheWall Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 As said, they are not playing their best team at all. Bailey and Forrest are not one of their top 6 batsmen in reality.
goggi Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 They have been poor, but having said that it's abit unfair to them having to play during their "off-season". They are coming off an amazing period of ODI domination. Also I have never rated Pattinson, Cummins, and to an extent Hilfenhaus. I am not sure what people see in them at both Tests and ODIs and labelling them as great potential. They have been fortunate to have a fit Shane Watson. An Shane Watson less Australia look very very ordinary.
Cricket Tragic Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Warner Twatto Marsh Clarke Dussey Mussey Wade Ferguson is the reserve batsman.

vayuu1 Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 dussey' date='mussey :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:[/quote'] Dussey has become khassi and mussey is drinking lassi.
Robelinda Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Unsure how bad/good we are. Its mixed with most teams these days, especially away from home. Check out this table, all teams stats for last 2 years OSI's away from home/neutral venues. Interesting to say the least, SA and Aus- #1 and #2. http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=2;filter=advanced;home_or_away=2;home_or_away=3;opposition=1;opposition=2;opposition=3;opposition=4;opposition=5;opposition=6;opposition=7;opposition=8;orderby=win_loss_ratio;spanmin1=01+Jan+2010;spanval1=span;template=results;type=team

Robelinda Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Yet whats interesting is that SA have the poorest home record, but a GREAT away record. Everything is pretty weird these days!
Crookbond Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Yet whats interesting is that SA have the poorest home record' date=' [b']but a GREAT away record. Everything is pretty weird these days! Thank - West Indies (6 wins).
Cricket Tragic Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Can't rate a team only based on away performances. Home games are important as well.
goggi Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Can't rate a team only based on away performances. Home games are important as well. For ODIs I am happy with the World Cup as the benchmark.:giggle: Everything else is build-up/prep to the next World Cup. So regardless of hullaballoola of ODI bi-lateral series, India are best one day team. :yay:
ChanaLal Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Australia looks weak. They not really producing world class players any more, just decent first class players. I wish India would stop looking to Australia for coaching ideas
rkt.india Posted July 9, 2012 Author Posted July 9, 2012 Yet whats interesting is that SA have the poorest home record' date=' but a GREAT away record. Everything is pretty weird these days![/quote'] SA batsmen struggle on seaming tracks at home that is why t hey did win a test series at home in 3 years before beating Lanka 1-0.
Ultimate_Game Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Aus are not a top odi team yet we still struggled mightily against them in CB Series in Aus
indiaregulator Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 How good would the England ODI team be if KP had not retired? 1. Cook 2. Bell 3. Trott 4. KP 5. Morgan 6. Kieswetter 7. Bresnan 8. Broad 9. Swann 10. Anderson 11. Finn That top 5 is absolutely devasting and the bowling attack is also equally devastating.
Laaloo Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Trott Bell and Cook devastating? :hysterical: :hysterical: lahori logic at work again
