I don't agree with split captaincy, so a new captain in all formats will help the Speedster.

I don't agree with split captaincy' date=' so a new captain in all formats will help the Speedster.[/quote'] Hey DTW....May be you need to add contributor to acheiving test No 1 in your sig....Wasn't Sreeshanth a major contributor to the last significant success we have had overseas in SA Just playing the devil's advocate here:devil_smile: Anyways I think despite all the talent Sree has I think he may be lost in the shuffle here...In the genuine pacers department we have Varu,Umesh and Ishant who are quicker than Sree....In the swing and seam dept there is Zak and PK. In ODI line and length bowlers there is Munaf and VK....so unless Sree makes some drastic improvement I am afraid he is left behind atm.The only slot I see him in is filling PK or Ishant....PK with his recent performances is higher in the pecking order as of now and with pace obsessed fans,Ishant is currrently our fastest bowler.

I may not be around much week days now as going to be staying in a different city for work. I might add that to his list of achievements :yay: I respectfully disagree and don't think he will be lost. Varun has everything to prove, Ishant is on the verge of drop. VK is on borrowed time in ODI's or should be. Munaf yes he is still a decent ODI player. Well I am not a pace fanatic. I believe in wicket takers no matter how they come. Sree can take top order wickets and that is a valuable player. It is not the end for him. Even Munaf just bowls tight in ODI and strangles batsmen for runs in order for them to play rash shot. Sree on the other hand is a GENUINE WICKET TAKER in all formats. So he will always be in the mix despite his high economy in ODI's. I believe the economy will go down with a long run in the team and real support. I listed before our best 3 seamers for test cricket-ZK,Sree and PK. Yadav should remain in squad and get in Dinda after ranji show. It is rare to have a bowler with swing and pace. Sree can play both roles. I have seen him outbowl Ishant for pace. He bowls tad slower to concentrate on swing, but when no swing, he can bowl fast.

Needforspeed Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 If Sreesanth is fully fit, he is good enough to be in the test squad. Not too sure about ODIs. And ne is definitely not captaincy material. He has absolutely no experience of captaincy not even with the Kerala team. I dont think the selection commitee would think of making Sreesanth the captain even in their wildest dreams.

If only he was a winner more consistency, people would actually be praising his attitude for being a passionable committed cricket player.

Balotelli being a black in Italy in his youth suffered some rough treatment from crowds so atleast its understandable to an extent unlike Sreesanth. And also he just 22 whereas Sreesanth is 29.And i dont believe Sree ever had the talents anywhere close to that Baloteelli has.

Oh Balotelli has fallen with most managers and players he had played with ,Sreesanth for all never stooped to such low levels where he had to behave badly with his coach or players.

An extremely talented bowler, always used to bowl wid BIG heart and good pace, but since that 'slapgate' incident he never looked comfortable. It seems the bitter memories of that incident always terrifies him, whereas deep inside his mind, he knows that he needs 2 push himself to comeback in cricket but he is reluctant and bit ashamed as well. He dont feel comfortable in that dressing room with those bunch of guys, may be. Also, Don't forget the media, fans and spectators, they never let you forget these type of incidents. On top of that, everyone knows about the nature of relationship between him and captain MSD, which cannot be called warm. He really needs a person from our team who can be a very good friend and give him psychological push.
