The worst commentator I remember listening to are the Pommies .. Vaughan Atherton Hussain Greig and co. Only good out of them was Boycott to some extent. Love Danny Morrison, even Tom Moody is Good .. Among Indians I like Shastri because he brings some excitement into the game.. Bishop from West Indies is one of the few better commies .. Loved Holding a lot in good old sharjah days not off late he has become an Indian basher too .. so he doesnot interest me anymore.

Every commentator is an India basher. Accept it. When you're a super power, people envy you and that principle holds everywhere. Athers is good though, he's got a good cricket brain.

Don't they do basic interview to pick candidates. It is not just command over language. It is a lot more. Remember how Brad Hogg was in commentary box in the last IPL. He was one of the worst.

I Know what you referring to .. but what I meant was with him there is always that excitement .. he will shout loudly for a boundry as if all hell was let loose .. Its that spirit which I like .. instills kind of an energy in a boring game .. quite unlike the new zealand or english commies who makes us sleep even during an interesting game

I used Tony Greig earlier during the Sharjah days but now a days I cant tolerate hearing him bashing India .. Mike Haysman .. Whos He?? :idunno: He never(not much) commentates on Indian matches and I dont see too much of other games to know much about him .. so IDK

Sashtri uncle = lots of moaning + bad English + hyperbole + fake incisiveness + bigotry he is the worst commentator, worser than arun lal uncle and laxamaan sivaraamakisan. have you heard him moan during presentations ?
