Nope. Azhar was mor artistic. Laxman could play through leg to deliveries outside off but I have seen Azhar play deliveries through leg one ball and play a similar delivery through off the very next ball. I didn't see Vihwanath and Zaheer Abbas but have heard they were quite artistic as well. But my vote goes to Azhar.

Mark Waugh was elegant, artistic, umm, well yeh, but then always over shadowed by sachin & Lara, as both legends were at their peak..but yes mark waugh wouldnt be a bad choice.

i think lara, mark waugh, laxman, azhar are some of the artistic players i have seen. I would obviously favor laxman as i feel he has a more complete game (both offside and onside) game compared to azhar.

Because people from other forums will include their own players. There is no measurement or formula to come up who was more stylish. Whoever gets the more votes will be.

Cricket existed pre-1990's too, David Gower was supremely elegant. also, i know you guys hate him, but Greg Chappell was the only batsman in the 70's who looked at ease against the WI pace attacks, gently stroked his way to some glorious tons, especially in 75/76 and 79/80. Magnificent batsman, absolutely no-one else was dancing down the wicket to Joel Garner and Andy Roberts and smacking them for boundaries, helmetless too.

Yuvraj is another one of the most stylish batsmen.
