Duncan Fletcher will want one left handed batsman to slot in the middle order to combat various angles of the English pacers.. Raina & Yuvraj will probably never prove themselves to be testclass

diga Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 Even Dhoni wants a lefty in the team.. will be handy against monty panesar vs Eng Dhoni pointed out another reason to persist with Raina. "It's important to have a left-hander at six or seven. This series [Daniel] Vettori wasn't playing but if a left-hander is there, the mix becomes ideal. Gambhir is at the top of the tree and then you have a fair number of right-handers. Then it's useful if you have a left-hander at six if the wicket is turning. But that doesn't guarantee anyone a place in the Test side."
