Ultimate_Game Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Just as we suspected Dhoni made hay in favorable conditions and padded his stats as is his wont. The hard work was all done by other batsmen like Kohli, Sehwag & Gambhir, and Dhoni shamelessly took the credit by scoring cheap runs. On top of that Dhoni shamelessly hogged glory by hitting a 6 at the end and showing off. This is just to add to his captaincy woes. On a pitch where a hack like Southee troubled Indian batsmen and took wkts, Dhoni was not able to make any use of world class talents of Umesh Yadav. Dhoni should have led by example and showed Umesh where to pitch the ball but as we all know Dhoni is not good at that. He had another opportunity to show his leadership skills when he could have gotten more out of Indian top order but Dhoni couldn't manage that either. Dhoni is a crappy player who is not even fit enough to tie the shoe laces of such greats as Mongia or More. Had Saha played the game NZ would have been bundled out for less than 200 in both their innings and Saha would have plundered a "leading from the front" 100s to win India the match easily, most probably by innings. But not to be as we are stuck with a mediocre player in Dhoni. On top of his cr@ppy captaincy and selfish batting Dhoni inflates his average by making most of getting out on no-balls. To make matters worse Dhoni is not even enjoying his cricket which his peers are clearly doing. I say time to kick this selfish over-rated player out o fthe team and hand over the captaincy to someone who enjoys the game. What I would have given to have a player like Mongia, More or even Ajay Ratra right now :((
Crookbond Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 He was very lucky today - some of his edges may have carried to close in fielders easily. :headshake:
Ultimate_Game Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 Too much of sarcasm! :giggle: What are you on about? I nearly smashed my comp following the selfish show-off. The guy's a hack and is a burden on the team. He shouldn't be anywhere near the team.
ganeshran Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 wow Dhoni cheerleading in full flow. :cheerleader::cheerleader:
Texy Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 u should change ur nick to Ultimate Wrist slitter
fineleg Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Good knock by MSD, and vital partnership. But before MSD-bhakts get carried away, how about in non-subcontinental tours?
Ultimate_Game Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 wow Dhoni cheerleading in full flow. :cheerleader::cheerleader: What are you on about? I can clearly see what you see in Dhoni. He's cr@p and clearly shouldn't be anywhere near this Indian team. Plus did you see the way he showed off at the end by hitting that 6? Mongia or More would never have done that. Wish we could go back to those legends u should change ur nick to Ultimate Wrist slitter I don't know about you but it was galling to see such selfish display from an India player, and a captain to boot.
carnish Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 UG at his best .. Good Points though .. :giggle:
vvvslaxman Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 ON a serious note ( got the sarcasm) Gilly has raised the level of expectations big time. From that point batting was almost a necessity for a keeper. Sangakkara, McCullum, Prior all turned into great batsmen wicket keepers. Gilly time and again told "my runs are bonus for team" suggesting his team never expected him to score runs hence his free stroking game. He never played these sensible, defensive knocks especially under pressure. Mostly it would be counter attacking.
Ultimate_Game Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 Good knock by MSD, and vital partnership. But before MSD-bhakts get carried away, how about in non-subcontinental tours? I totally agree. He should be kicked out on the spot if he doesn't resign himself. The guy couldn't score runs for the top 6 and couldn't even lead from the front to help his bowlers bowl the opponents out cheaply. I mean we had batsmen who were clearly enjoying themselves in the team on those tours and Dhoni still couldn't make them perform. The phucking stat padder  All he ever does is score cheap runs and that too after getting dismissed off no-balls :hitler:
Ultimate_Game Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 short term gain' date=' long term loss.[/quote'] I don't even know how this can be termed as a "short term gain". This series win is as hollow as they come and the show-off at the end totally ruined it for me
Gambit Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Dhoni's first >0 score in a successful 4th innings run chase.
Ultimate_Game Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 Bahut ho gaya U_G bhai.. :phehehe: You may live with such pathetic displays but my expectations are a lot higher. When I see an India player on the field, the very least I expect is playing for the team and not be selfish. But Dhoni just disappoints me everytime. Needs to be sent packing from the team and let's get Saha in before he can do any more damage.
ganeshran Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 What are you on about? I can clearly see what you see in Dhoni. He's cr@p and clearly shouldn't be anywhere near this Indian team. Wish we could go back to those legends Come on dude, you are giving dhoni way too less credit :headshake:. Remember how many IPL and Champions league trophies he has. No doubt one of the best test keeper batsmen of all time. Dujon , Engineer, Knott , Flower are useless hacks in front of Dhoni's legendary keeping and batting ability, especially in overseas conditions :cheerleader: Plus he owns a motorbike racing team too :two_thumbs_up:
