jusarrived Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I have been using a Nokia N97 for 4 years now , time to replace it . So whats like a good phone these days ? Samsung note is the one which interests me atm , Note-2 is coming soon aswell ? Priority : Music , good for reading pdfs & browsing , Mails , Skype & durable for 3 years atleast .
gaurav92 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Whats your budget like? If its around 30-35k , Note 2 is quite good, but if you consider a phone, then Samsung galaxy S II is one helluva phone for 27k :nice:

DomainK Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 N97, what an awesome phone it was. Superb hardware, great call quality, one of the best phones of that time. But alas, that time is gone. You might want to walk into a Samsung store and experience a note - how it fits into your hand. It's a superb phone, but may not be very comfortable to hold to your ears for a long time.
superstar Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Karbon kamal or Max mobiles. Made in India !!!
rkt.india Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Note is too big. It is hard to use it like a phone.

Nokia 3310 :proud: Note looks good as long as you are not worried about the size.
bajrang Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 note user here, beware, every other phone will feel like matchbox once you have used it for couple of days.
velu Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 go for galaxy note II , might cost arnd 36 - 38k ( 5.5 inch ) .. if u r ok with 8 inch screen , wait for iPad Mini ( but wont Have too many features given by samsung or nexus )..
EnterTheVoid Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Samsung Note 2, that screen is effing huge!
anotherhawkeye Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I'm surprised that no one is concerned about the 'big brother' google watching their every move when using android. If you turn on location service, the phone basically transmits your location to google every few minutes even if you are not using maps or any other app that requires location. If that's not creepy, I don't know what is. Sure apple and ms might be doing it on a small scale, but Google's whole existence depends on it.

Sachin=GOD Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Note is way too big to be a "phone". Go for Galaxy S2.
anotherhawkeye Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Since nobody mentioned it : iPhone 5 or Nokia WP 8 phones...
