I have been using a Nokia N97 for 4 years now , time to replace it . So whats like a good phone these days ? Samsung note is the one which interests me atm , Note-2 is coming soon aswell ? Priority : Music , good for reading pdfs & browsing , Mails , Skype & durable for 3 years atleast .

Whats your budget like? If its around 30-35k , Note 2 is quite good, but if you consider a phone, then Samsung galaxy S II is one helluva phone for 27k :nice:
he wants it for next 3 years.. so should go for note 2 cos its newer i have seen specs of it though @op do u play games? cos u need gr8 hardware only for tht i still have nexus s and its still good enough or my needs

N97, what an awesome phone it was. Superb hardware, great call quality, one of the best phones of that time. But alas, that time is gone. You might want to walk into a Samsung store and experience a note - how it fits into your hand. It's a superb phone, but may not be very comfortable to hold to your ears for a long time.

Nokia 3310 :proud: Note looks good as long as you are not worried about the size.

I'm surprised that no one is concerned about the 'big brother' google watching their every move when using android. If you turn on location service, the phone basically transmits your location to google every few minutes even if you are not using maps or any other app that requires location. If that's not creepy, I don't know what is. Sure apple and ms might be doing it on a small scale, but Google's whole existence depends on it.

i dont think its creepy to use the user's location when the user agrees to use the location based service ..
