Rahul Dravid, Kumble & Ganguly would be my 3 man panel with no "chief selector" and all three having equal say in selection. All three men have the balls to make a tough call and have enough integrity to not be partial to certain players or regions. I would do away with the 5 man selection panel as 5 people leads to politics and compromise. 3 people is the way to go.

I have more faith in Ganguly than you. Ganguly never selected likes of Laxmi Ratan Shukla when he was the captain and backed players like Yuvi, Kaif & Sehwag. Ganguly may select Dinda but he won't persist with him if he doesn't perform.

Nope, 5 man selection panel is too bloated and zonal selections have always been our bane. On top of that there are more chances of factions and politics within 5 people. 3 selectors is an ideal size - not much chances of politics and enough to keep everyone honest.
