rkt.india Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 just saying, really good today. Maybe abother false dawn? :agree: Another flash in the pan day for him. He has not been learning from his mistakes. Poor stuff. I supported him a lot but not anymore. It is time to be critical.
King Tendulkar Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Ishant bowling quite a few between 85 to 88 mph. Some days fast, other days trundler, Very frustrating
Crookbond Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 He bowled well in WI as well. Then you created the thread Ishant will be world's no. 1 bowler very' date=' very soon.[/quote'] Soon he will create another such thread for Bhuvanesh Kumar.
Lord Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 good stuff today I'm leaning towards the group which says he should play ODIs specially since we lot of cricket abroad in coming months.can be a decent 1st change bowler shouldnt play Tests though
King Tendulkar Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 :agree: Another flash in the pan day for him. He has not been learning from his mistakes. Poor stuff. I supported him a lot but not anymore. It is time to be critical. I also supported him a lot. But let us down. But did bowl very very well today
MechEng Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Bowled a top spell to Cook!, got the first 5 deliveries to move away from him and brought the last delivery back into him, knocking off his middle stump! I always believed when he finds the PERFECT length, he is as lethal as any top fast bowler. Needs consistently pitch it in the area between good length and full length!
Old guy Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 ball going away with scrabeled seam comes in when its up right hmm
jairamesh Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 He still struggles mentally and physically to finish a good over, in his latter spell ended-up spoiling good overs with last ball fours with legside deliveries and full tosses.
CG Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 Atleast he is pitching it up and getting hint of swing.Hope he works hard in the break to correct his flaws. He is going to lead the pace attack against aus.
Lord Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 he can be decent in LOIs as a first change bowler but no tests please
CG Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 he can be decent in LOIs as a first change bowler but no tests please He is going to be in tests now after such performances.
Lord Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 He is going to be in tests now after such performances. :((
SLICKR392 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 :(( He did well in Nagpur :dontknow: bowled long spells without any support.
Lord Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 He did well in Nagpur :dontknow: bowled long spells without any support. 3 wickets out of which Cook was not out.great performance indeed:hatsoff: even such performances are few and far between
express bowling Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Ishant has to concentrate on being more consistent.
Lord Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Ishant has to concentrate on being more consistent. he is pretty consistent:--D
Trundler27 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 i remember him giving one such 'string' of performances on the windies tour a couple of years back and he returned to his regular self soon after. While i appreciate his bowling effort in this odi series, this is just a blimp for him considering his overall record. Now IF he can perform well for another couple of series then it would point to some sort of growth of unlucky as a fast bowler... that means more wickets, better economy
