Dhoni should be sacked as captain in all 3 formats!

I usually try to be very fair to even the non performers. However today i would say that results do matter given that a captain gets a long run, which in Dhoni's case is more than few years now. I don't know who the other alternative to captaincy is, but certainly something has to change at least for the sake of it. Bring some new life.

Not all changes lead to positive results and certainly, doing a change doesn't guarantee things will improve. Instead, it can even go worse. Of course, at the same time, I realize and completely understand that maintaining the status quo also doesn't mean things will improve. I just don't want to have like Pakistan where captains are removed quickly and randomly.

The main issue is accountability. Cricket is a professional sport. Has to be managed professionally. Without accountability there cannot be best possible performance. Dhoni or any other captain will never perform optimally unless there is consequence for their poor performance. Say BCCI puts a clause in Dhoni's contract. Unless he wins every test series he plays abroad, he will be fined 50 crores per series. Do you guys still think Dhoni would have performed as badly as a test captain as he is doing now ? There has to be accountability and consequence for actions if results have to be obtained. That is why Dhoni should be removed as a captain in tests.

Sorry, but how do you come to that conclusion until they are actually given a chance. When Sunny retired, everyone said there would be no Sunil Gavaskar. Sachin Tendulkar played cricket and eclipsed him. Over time great cricketers have been replaced by superior cricketers at times. Finding a replacement for Dhoni, the way he has performed as captain is certainly nowhere even half difficult to what we have seen about great cricketers being replaced.

Virat is just 25? Immature imo as well irrespective of his age, the way he runs on field showing middle finger to crow and abuse after scoring most tons with his usual sledge words. How on earth is removing a Captain after 7 successful years random or quickly? That is the shelf life of even the best captains! And we have already hit rock bottom so what can be worse?

For those guys who are worried about further drop in performances of our young players , if made the captain..... Make Stewart Binny the captain. We have no expectations from him, either with the bat or the ball. He can't deteriorate as a test player if he is the captain. :--D
