for me keep dhoni as the test captain until suitable candidate is found, sehwag and gambhir are out of form while Kohli is only 10 test match old. Dhoni is one of the best ODI captain out there so keep him as the captain. Raina is more experienced and a better batsman in T20 than Kohli so he should be made the captain.

Funny. And perhaps when your new captains lose, let's change the captaincy again. Maybe, let's just follow the Pakistan model. Pathetic post from you. Captaincy is not our root cause for our problems. There are severe other problems but you just don't want to see it or will just ignore it. Actually, perhaps, it is only because of Dhoni's captaincy from which we have still won some matches.
What change the cpataincy again!!!! Dhoni has been captain for years now, hardly kee jerk and constant change. All the canditates I suggested have youth and can forseeably be around as skipper for many years. Dhoni has presided over 8 straight away losses in tests. And personally perfomed abysmally. He frankly does not look like he cares anymore and is making erratic decsions. Every skipper has a shelf life and his time is up. Any other skipper would have resigned themselves after the shambles he has presided over.

dhoni for test captaincy along with ODIs Raina for T20 captaincy with Dhoni Bhajji Sehwag Gambhir Zaheer out of the team. The only over 30s i would keep are yuvi and if he keeps bowling well Balaji. But Dhoni does well as captain at home which we are playing till late 2013. Keep him. In ODIs Dhoni has performed well and imo should stay on till 2015.

 Wrong. Why can they be captains for many years? If they lose, they should be judged like how Dhoni is judged today. Thus, which is why I said Dhoni is should be our captain. He is part of our strength and our most successful captain ever. You just don't go for "youth" and wait. Results needs to happen and changing captain is not a root issue issue. Actually, changing captain can also make our home wins to losses.

 Giving someone the captain's mantle out of the blue is a knee jerk change. It is not like Kohli has been groomed for the job. So, yes it is pretty much a flash in the pan. You would be the first one to start a thread against Kohli if he does not do well in 10 games. :giggle:

I think Dhoni should be kept as captain in all three formats.
why? what has he done as a Captain to deserve saving his post in all 3 formats and more importantly, what the hell has Dhoni the Test batsman done in Test matches in the last few months to deserve a place in the side?

He can stay in odi team Boot out from captaincy was main point. I would even keep him in T20 team. No way should be in test team. I actually think if relieved from captaincy his own performance may improve
Dhoni himself wanted to quit tests from 2013 and concentrate on only 1 or 2 formats.. which caused a furore back then in last december LINK from cricinfo

You follow that route and half of our side including Tendulkar would be history. Want to go down that route?

Wrong interpretation - he wants to quick one format. The probability for it being Tests is 33% equal to ODIs and T20s.

Took us to number 1 in Test rankings, won the World T20 and won the World Cup. There were the humiliating defeats against Australia and England, but you cannot blame him for them and not credit him with the successes before then. In the last few months, he has played 3 Test innings, they were 73, 62 and 48*.

You're criticizing his lack of match saving or match winning innings in the two games he has played in the last few months? EDIT: Forget that! In the second Test against New Zealand, both his innings could be considered match winning!!
