panther Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 What I am concluding from what I am reading is india does have Spinning all rounders in yusuf Jadeja Chawla iqbal and a few others but medium pace All rounders are hardly any except IRFAN.......Binny is Too slow as a bowler to be termed Medium Pace so I kinda don't see him playing for India ever.......Sad state - no pace All rounders. Spin Wizard Ashwin"s Strike rate( no of ball to get 1 wicket) was 112 balls in australia against australia.......the Spin expert was a BIG FLOP in australia....all spinners are considered dibbly dobbly bowlers on tracks in england australia and spinning all rounders are of no Value in those countries.....see australia they r generating Medium Pace All rounders. lal kumar is a fast bowling all rounder from hyderbad. speed 135-140
speedy Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 First thing is to train Varun Aron and Umesh Yadav and play them more often specially in tests . We should atleast have two Fasst bowlers and then we should think about allrounders.
msplash9 Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/player/290727.html This kid Rishi Dhawan scored hundred and took 3 wickets Any one have any idea , how good he is ? Akash Chopra is also speaking very highly about him @cricketaakash Here's an early call for an all-rounder to keep an eye on this season--Rishi Dhawan from HImachal Pradesh. Medium pacer-bastman!!
Magneto Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Rishi Dhawan would be considered a bits-and-pieces cricketer at the international level.
GautiMaan Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Rishi Dhawan would be considered a bits-and-pieces cricketer at the international level. a la Jogi?
Magneto Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 a la Jogi? Robin Singh, I am hoping. The best bits-and-pieces we ever had.
GautiMaan Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Robin Singh' date=' I am hoping. The best bits-and-pieces we ever had.[/quote'] And here i was drooling over stats and anticipating Kapil Dev:((
Magneto Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 And here i was drooling over stats and anticipating Kapil Dev:(( You wanted Jogi, and I gave you Robin. :giggle: Rishi's stats are okay. Not much to drool about.
ShebbySB Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Bhubaneshwar Kumar is a seam bowling all-rounder.
Old guy Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Bhubaneshwar Kumar is a seam bowling all-rounder. he got kohli 2 times i think :cantstop:
MCcricket Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Rishi Dhawan has potential and is not a bits and pieces player, he bowlis in the 130.s, moves the ball, decent bat, still young , he Mithun, B Kumar could be our seam bowling allrounders

Asim Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Just call it 'all-rounder' cz Indian pace&spin, hardly any diff...

He has a horrible action and lacks variation. B Kumar on the other hand looks promising. Would not mind see him get a few ODI's.

daryl1985 Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 yes very promising got kohli in both innings and hit 100 few days ago for his zonal side.... He moves it both ways doesn't he? Does he bowl in the 130's?
Old guy Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 He moves it both ways doesn't he? Does he bowl in the 130's? yes...im pretty sure he is quicker then praveen anyway we have better bowlers but they will never get selected pankaj guy was 6 foot 6 and he is not even on radar of selectors with pretty good average (on domestic flat tracks ) did u see him bowl in this last game which was telecasted?

No haven't seen Pankaj Singh bowl except in IPL. Would that game have been available on any streaming sites online (if so could you please PM me links for future games) I thought he looked promising in IPL (he went for runs) but looked like a strong guy and got some extra bounce? I didn't realise Pankaj Singh was that tall. Surely there is no reason for not selecting him given his form over the last 2 seasons. I have seen Aakash Chopra try and champion his cause at every available opportunity.

MCcricket Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 give some more info on rishi dhawan - if he so good still why he is not into lime light I will post his video later, he bowls around 130's and with some tweak he can bowl faster, pretty simple action, scores runs, needs to play couple of seasons he is till young at this time only a future prospect.
