selections are made by consensus or a majority vote. Dhoni can easily be out voted. Problem is majority of those have not been making the call.
the way bcci operates if dhoni wants somebody he gets him.

single handedly by yuvi and raina? :omg: wht abt zack, tendulkar, gambhir,in final dhoni himself ..ashwin ? :hmmm:

Yuvi performed consistently throughout the worldcup and if not for rainas efforts in the quarters and the semis' date=' it was pretty much curtains for us, everyone were playing around yuvi in particular, lets not talk about bowlers here, what was dhonis contribution baring final where he promoted himself up the order when the tide was in our favour on a flat wankhede deck, i forsee it as dhoni stealing yuvis thunder in the final, why dint he promst himself up the order in any of the T20 matches, esp against south africa? when the need of the hour was to score big and score quick, why dint he promote himself up when we needed 100 odd runs against windies with 7 wickets in hands?? The point is, dhoni is scared to take risk these days, and it is pretty much evident.[/quote'] ok what was raina's contribution other then semi final ? :hmmm: also i will never back yuvi to do well vs murali :winky: ge over it no one stole any one thunder... every one performed and thats why we won...simple batting wise every one contributed.. in bowling too most of guys came and did well in some part of tournament dhoni came up so that he can face murali.. even murali admitted dhoni plays him well.. (maybe cos murali was in csk too :winky:)

It is not that only you also have to stand up.You have to perform when others fail .there were plenty of chances for dhoni to save the situation or build a patnership with a regular batsman which he failed to do.
so u blame dhoni batting for 0-8 loss:giggle:

The only creditable performance from MS Dhoni was in the final and boy was it one helluva performance. Raina played important knocks against both Australia and Pakistan. But, Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir and Sachin Tendulkar were the architects of our wins in the 2011 ODI WC.

:cantstop: What Najafgarh logic is this? :dontknow: You want the No.7 batsman to "setup" a game after literally sifar is done by Dravid, Laxman, Tendulkar, Sehwag and Gambhir! Probably, MS Dhoni can make pigs fly too. Here's my theory - there were plenty of chances for our main batsmen to setup the game because they knew MS Dhoni does not play well away from home. However, they failed to take it - I want to sack all of them for not standing up and be counted. :hitler:

and others failed whenever he clicked. Why so? Why didn't they stay there then to build a partnership with him? Thing was every one failed from top to 7 you believe we lost because of his captaincy. Yes, captaincy was not up to mark, but he has always been like and no captain is perfect, but if your players cannot score, captain can only wait and watch for the series to be over.

My response was to rkt post ,so read it first.India were in good positions in 2nd test in eng and 1st test in aus where a patnership would have probably titled the game in our favour and then the series would have been different.

What makes you single out MS Dhoni? :dontknow:

@ Sabby & Morgan, I am still stuck to the point that dhoni is Schitin bricks in his pants these days under pressure, point very well put across by akash chopra, and you delusional dhoni defenders

that has to change and IMO will change with Sandeep Patil. I think even under Vengsarkar there was some balance. Problems began when "Kris" offered no resistance.

No, but I want my wicketkeeper to be at least of test match standard. And if he is not, he better be as capable a batsman as Gilchrist or Flower to make up for his mediocre keeping skills, not that the two I mentioned were mediocre keepers by any stretch of imagination like Dhoni.

Sean Bradley, Asking him to remove from T20 captaincy is NOT defending. Accepting that his batting and keeping were not up to the mark during the England and Australia tours is NOT defending. Singling out one person for other people's performances is me being delusional or you? The fact is that you guys are inconsistent - one hand you want Gambhir/Sehwag to be given chances on pedigree but on other hand you do not want MS Dhoni to continue despite pedigree. Yea carry on. :good:

OR Let me put it this way - according to you two bad series makes someone an average keeper (being careful with my choice of words) to sub standard. If indeed that is the case, the same logic should be extended to batting as well. I want a decent openers in my side and a decent Number 5 batsman. Gambhir, Sehwag and Tendulkar all should go - I don't have any problem with any member (even Zaheer Khan) being the captain as long as decisions are consistent across.

People have short memories here or pretend to- Lets take the example of 1st test in eng we were 183-5 when dhoni came to bat 2nd test- we were 267 -5 when dhoni came to bat 4th test 2nd inngs- we were 262-5 australia tour- 1st test we were 5-221 2nd test we were -5-276 in 2nd innings People make it sound as if we were 50-5 in all innings considering the conditions in some matches we were in good positions.
