Bublu Bhuyan Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 I've met people who would swear their lives that PC gaming is a much better experience than console gaming. What's true is PC does have better graphics than consoles (which aren't upgradable). I personally prefer playing my PS3 on a large 50 inch Plasma Full HD TV in my bedroom. Which one do you personally prefer?

What's true is PC does have better graphics than consoles (which aren't upgradable). I personally prefer playing my PS3 on a large 50 inch Plasma Full HD TV in my bedroom. Which one do you personally prefer? It depends on each individuals. About 50 inch plasma, its great but you can have 3 46inch monitors placed side by side and play on some serious resolutions. Controllers for windows are available as well so it pretty much sums up comfort zone. Consoles have got more exclusives thanks to pirates. Which is easily a huge advantage. @KXIP Fan I have had consoles before, but I have never relaxed on my bed or my couch and played a game. I have been gaming for the last 14-16 years and have played at almost every platform starting from the ping pong game boys to the PS3/X360. Unless the game is either SIMS 3 or a lousy simulation game I never take my **** out of my bean bag or a chair. FYI : I take gaming dead seriously because that's what I specialize in animation and soon would be my profession.
Rohit S. Ambani Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Today it is possible to own both platforms, PS3 is dirt cheap and assembling a respectable PC with decent dedicated graphics doesn't cost much also, all components are dirt cheap. Today, its like having 2 cars, one for daily jobs and other for weekend highway trips. Both have there own pro's and con's.

SLICKR392 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 My current desktop was bought in 2003 :hysterical: It doesn't even have a graphics card. 96 MB RAM then? :--D I remember begging my dad for a 256 MB desktop.
Bublu Bhuyan Posted October 12, 2012 Author Posted October 12, 2012 96 MB RAM then? :--D I remember begging my dad for a 256 MB desktop. Initially it was 256 MB DDR, upgraded it to 512 MB DDR.
Ranvir Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 One thing is for certain First Person Shooters are miles better on the PC with the mouse and keyboard control. I remember a few years ago I bought Modern Warfare 3 for my PS3, I played for one day, returned the game and upgraded my PC. I could not get used to the control pad. The fact that you're closer to the screen and the screen is smaller is also a plus, you can focus on the action more and see everything around you. The consoles do have more varieties of games, but for someone like me who likes playing FPS and Pro Evolution Soccer, the PC is more fun. I don't have the patience to play these long adventure games like GOW or GTA anymore.
akshayxyz Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Firstly, it depends on games..e.g. for RTS, (MMO)RPG games, you don't even have a choice., and for car racing, FPS etc.., console would give much better experience.
vvvslaxman Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 If you are going to use plasma i think it is going to give less motion sickness than an LED TV or an LED monitor. Downside image retention if you are careless. Hence Console gaming could be recommended. But if you are going to lot of side activities like chatting etc.. on the computer. PC. Also PC is more powerful.

RPG's depend..there are different genres and different angles of RPG. You can't generalize it. Pretty much shows whose inferior here. Whinging after every PC gaming comments. :giggle: Relaxing yourself while gaming is your big plus point..that pretty much figures how serious you are when it comes to gaming. :nice: A lot of people think that PC gaming can't have controllers :giggle: Being a PC gamer doesn't mean I have anything against consoles. I personally use PC but I game in all 3 platforms.
