This is what harbhajan had to say after losing yet again... this time to Sydney Sixers... Harbhajan says... "137 was very much gettable in, not 20 overs, but 18 overs. I think we batted too slow in the opening part. We didn't take our opportunity. We didn't play well enough, and we didn't take responsibility, and this is where we stand. In all these games, we didn't get a start in the first six overs. These kind of games, you have to take the game away from the opposition by scoring runs in the first six, and that didn't happen, and that's an area of concern. Even in the IPL, the same thing happened. That's where we have to improve." Strong words from, Harbhajan. No hiding behind excuses. And not afraid to call a spade a spade. The first six overs have cost them almost every match, and that could have been tough to admit for an Indian captain considering who has been batting in the first six overs. Essentially Harbhajan pointed a finger at Tendulkar as he's the one playing a Test innings at the top whereas his partners - Dwayne Smith, Franklin, Levi, Jacobs etc. - try to go for quick runs and eventually have to pay the price. Looks like Harbhajan had enough :giggle:

I'm with Bhajji here. IMO MI team selection is the main issue. Even after poor IPL that Bhajji mentioned they didn't took the lesson to (re)adjust batting order including opening peer that cost them PP fail in nearly every occasion. But they still got a decent side to win matches. Anyway 6ers are great bowiling & fielding side, captain better admit the loss simply because opositions are better victory deserving performers.

Tendulkar fails to understand that he plays at his best only when he is agresssive. FULL STOP. It seems like as if he is carrying this irrelevant external issues of all the planets, corruption, sree_india, rapes all on his shoulders. His 100th 100 was one example so are most of his innings when his SR is under 100 in IPLS T20s where his batting is just ugly. Tendulkar, open up and phood daal sabko

Rohit again I mentioned earlier is not a T20 player.. He just takes too much time and in most of the cases, killls the momentum... He should only be coming after 15th over when he plays freely and agressively.

He is opening up the gap between the pad and the bat these days and eventually "phood daaling" the stumps

LOL Bhajji should look at his own role first. His captaincy and bowling have been bad, the same issue was there in IPL. :haha: Not defending SRT here, he has cost them a few games for sure, in this tournament. MI management need to take some tough decisions here.

sachin bats too slow and rohit is not suited at 3 because he also starts slow so him and tendulkar together at the crease is a recipe for disaster, rohit should come in at 5

They keep benching players like Patel & Levi in SA condition is dissapointing to me. At least they should learn trix from bigger brother KKR:--D; how another struggling IPL side, KKR manages a win here after Lee-Shakib swap learning, using up off-form Balaji with maximum output in middle over and finding benched Iqbal Abdullah's effectiveness.

He is not. His time might be up but his problem is not that of Dravid, i.e. the bat-pad gap, but he is too late at almost every shots. In the NZ series he was missing poor deliveries into the leg side which hit him on his pads. As few above posts said -he needs to attack. Play fearlessly! If he succeeds, good on him and the team.

Why is SRT playing IPL? Are Ambani's only concerned about the advertising money sachin brings or the team performance ? Any other team owner would have fired the coach/captain/openers after the failure to chase 130ish yesterday
