Magneto Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 alright u picked ishant justl ike u picked rohit in australia and i backed kohli there now i will back yadav ....:D just wait n watch this will be turning point of his career too B-> Hope this does not end up being his last series. :nervous: I'll be watching at least 2 of these 4 matches live so you can put a '0' in the wickets column for Yadav in these matches. :cantstop:

JaFanatic Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 I just think he'll leak more runs (which means, he'll give more boundary balls) than Ishant. I don't see either of them making a major contribution in the spin-friendly pitches anyway.atleast umesh can provide the breakthroughs(not that ishant cant but he's unlucky)
Magneto Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 atleast umesh can provide the breakthroughs(not that ishant cant but he's unlucky) Both have equal chances to take that odd wicket I guess.
India-KXIP fan Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 :hysterical::hysterical: Remember King Chawla destroyed the English in County Cricket a few years ago :finger:
bajrang Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Sehwag Gambhir Pujara Kohli Rahane - not going to happen Bhagwaanji will play Tiwary - not going to happen hack Yuvraj will play Saha - not going to happen Kaptaan Kool will play Ashwin Zaheer Yadav Ojha pretty much...
JaFanatic Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Both have equal chances to take that odd wicket I guess.then why not give the chance to umesh instead of tried and tested ishant!

ShebbySB Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Rahane Gambhir Pujara Sachin Kohli Yuvraj Dhoni Ashwin Zaheer Ojha Umesh
Gunner Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Guys, I picked Chawla because there already is a decent left-arm spinner Yuvraj in the team. So it would make sense to select an attacking legspinner like Chawla or Mishra, just to add variety to the spin attack. I know his recent (actually most) performances don't inspire confidence that's why all the :hysterical:s , but he should be handy on turning tracks, especially against the English. Though if Yuvraj isn't playing, Ojha should be the second spinner. P.S. I'm a huge Warne fan and have a bias for Leg Break bowlers, sometimes even mediocre ones.
kubrickian Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Replace Sehwag, Gambhir with Rahane or Mukund if they dont perform in first test. Let them go back to domestic cricket and prove themselves before they get selected again. They have been given a free run for too long, just based on their previous record and have cost India too many games by gifting away their wickets without putting any effort. Sehwag Gambhir Pujara Sachin Kohli Yuvraj Dhoni Ashwin Zaheer Umesh Ojha
Sidhoni Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Same as OP, last chance to the openers Viru Gauti Pujara SRT(farewell) Kohli Yuvi/Tiwari MSD Ashwin Zak Yadav Ojha

Attacking coz the batsmen can attack them easily?
GautiMaan Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Attacking coz the batsmen can attack them easily? :hysterical:
Gunner Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Attacking coz the batsmen can attack them easily? No, because legspin bowlers tend to have less control and go for runs but still get wickets.
panther Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 mandeep sehwag pujara kohli rohit tiwary dhoni ashwin ojha zak praveen kumar
BeautifulGame Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Attacking coz the batsmen can attack them easily? :hysterical:
Forever Indian Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Same as OP, last chance to the openers Viru Gauti Pujara SRT(farewell) Kohli Yuvi/Tiwari MSD Ashwin Zak Yadav Ojha + 1. But Yuvraj ahead of Tiwary cos Yuvi is more of a batting allrounder these days. Also at No. 6 we need someone who can play positively as that person will more times than not be playing with the tail.
