mr cricket Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 They selected him because he crushed England in the World T20 match. They probably think he would do the same thing in Tests.
Sean Bradley Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Not suprised, what else can you expect from this arrogant idiot, now since has stopped taking wickets, wickets are no longer important in judging a bowler's performance :hysterical:, i hope he plays and bowls his first ball to KP and KP smashes one straight back at his face and the ball sticks in his mouth and breaks his teeth so he sit's out for the rest of his life and more importantly, stops giving such lame statement's.
Crookbond Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Darts by Harbhajan on the field. Darts by India-KXP fan on ICF. Same thing.

King Tendulkar Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 400 plus test wickets, legendary stuff. He was a champ, may not be a champ now:cantstop:

NareshK Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Bhajji does have a lot of influence. Ever since he was dropped, he struggled very poorly in domestic cricket against local players. There are several threads here about his dismal performance in FC but then he goes to county, picks some wickets against Poms who are sitting ducks against spin and suddenly, he gets picked for T20 team and now Test team  without doing anything of note in between. I would have liked to see another young bowler who has done decently in FC than Bhajji just based on "experience". The really negative thing that could happen if he does get a game on a rank turner against Poms and picks wickets. Then he will be in the side for good and turn up more mediocre performances in the future.
StatsRock Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Terrific bowling from Harbhajan to get the wickets of Hyderabad's #9 and #10 batsman in the 2nd innings. Bricks are being shat in the English dressing room. :yay: :yay:
Tridibans_16 Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Take that all you critics :finger: My man Bhajji has made a comeback to the side as a roaring tiger. Beware Asswin/Ooojha/ whoever spins the ball. Bhajji has stylish and artfull bowling and slapping skills, so what if he doesn't picks up a wicket or two. He is like a ferrari. Dont look at the fuel economy but its STYLE and SKILLS.

Forever Indian Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 // Harbhajan hits out at critics // Please Hit the wickets also occassionaly. Its not enough to just hit Sreesanth and critics.
PaceAttack Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Who else deserves to be the 3rd spinner in the team? Unfortunately we don't have many quality spinners to replace him as a 3rd spinner. Chaiwala?
Forever Indian Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Who else deserves to be the 3rd spinner in the team? Unfortunately we don't have many quality spinners to replace him as a 3rd spinner. Chaiwala? To be frank, Chawla can be given a chance in Tests. He is not good for Limited overs cricket as he leaks a lot of runs. In the 2 tests that he played so far. In first test he was bowled for just bowled for 9 overs in 1st Innings and 5 overs in 2nd, where he got a wicket. In 2nd test he bowled 16 overs in 1st innings and got 2 top order wickets and in 2nd innings he was bowled for 4 overs. So he has been bowled for 10+ overs in just 1 innings so far and he did not do bad. He is an attacking bowler but can bowl a few loose balls and so can go for runs. If he can reduce the no. of loose deliveries he can be a good leg spinner for the team in tests.

He bowls a very good googly but it will be useful only if he turns his leg spinners. Cricketers nowadays play IPL frequently and they are aware of it that Chawla does not turn the leg spinners. Not that Harbhajjan turns his off spinners, but i kinda feel Bhajji can bowl good on Indian tracks.
adi B Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 if the dart thrower makes it to the actual eleven then i will join you as well :whatchutalkingabout do count me in that day :((

saneindian Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Being in denial is never going to help him revive his career. Accept that your bowling has declined and be ready to work hard to get your wicket taking form back. Not sure if being on the bench for the next 3-4 weeks will help him do that when there are Ranji matches being played every week.
munafbhai Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 If only Bhajii showed this aggression in his bowling and bowled half of what Ajmal bowls ,we would have a decent bowling attck. But he just refuses to spin the ball and take wickets but still wants to be in team
Prakat Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 If he was mature then he would have realized that critics are his best friends. A smart performer appreciates his critics because they keep him on his toes and challenge him to improve and better himself.
dragonfly Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 while batsmen all around the world hit out at his bowling.
