Seems like KT's OFB has gone into over-drive. Aleem Dar is an excellent umpire who had a few go against him, which is completely normal coz he is after all human.

Agree they did it poorly but would have escaped had it been any other team. Maybe only England could have done what BCCI did. And when I wrote another umpire will have same fate it meant only if he does something similar by giving too many howlers.

DRS can have a big impact on decreasing the quality of umpiring. Umpires may think DRS can back their decisions, so they will be less attentive and are more prone to mistakes. We are already seeing decent umpires giving terrible decisions which normally you wouldnt expect. What if a team runs out of reviews early on ? They will be on the receiving end of howlers for the rest of the innings. Improving quality of umpiring is way forward. Not half assed substitutes like DRS which are not accurate anyway.

Again: DRS. Pakistan and SL got so many LBW desicions with DRS involved. Because this allows the umpire the freedom to be less conservative towards the batsmen knowing they can challenge.
