It's Indian board which is against DRS n Indian fans blindly defending their board even though deep down everyone knows how effing stupid decision it is not to include DRS. Well this was something we already knew before the series started that DRS helps the team with a spin based bowling lineup as you get lots of LBWs & bat-pads, and that is why there were so many threads about having DRS at home. At this point BCCI's stance on DRS can be summed up as trying to cut nose to spite its face. The DRS unavailability in India against sides like Eng, Aus, SA, WI, NZ etc. actually plays in the visiting teams' favor as they can comfortably play more with the pads and be more comfortable out there in the middle knowing fully well there will not be any DRS to overturn umpire's decisions. On top of that umpiring decisions will generally tend to be more safe & cautious as there's no DRS and no umpire will make a tough call with the batsman. Again, BCCI's fault for not realizing the same and that's the reason the series most probably will not be a 4-0 white-wash in our favor coz we will need to get around 35 wkts in a match to win the game. We managed to do so at Ahmedabad, and may well happen at Mumbai but unlikely to happen in all 4 Tests. And against Aus max we can hope to win is by a 2-0 margin (most probably 1-0) coz there batting's much better and taking 35 wkts per match is gonna be even more difficult. As the saying goes you reap what you sow and Team India is sleeping in the bed BCCI made.

I'd love to see how many of the 'Shocking umpiring by the Paki' types here were bemoaning Dar's umpiring when he gave questionable calls in favor of us in the Motera test. If it works for us, everyone's happy. If it does not, then bring out the outrage machine. The mere expectation that the umpire should get all decisions right on the cricketing field is laughable. He is human, he is going to make mistakes. Dont put umpires in an impossible situations and expect them to perform miracles.

Spot on. You can't have your cake and eat it too. BCCI had the option to go with DRS and for the very reason we are seeing now - to eliminate howlers. How can we blame anyone else but BCCI for the howlers now? This situation is akin to going to a hakeem when you have cancer even though you have access to an oncologist, and then blaming hakeem for not being up to the mark and curing you. Fact of the matter is that humans can't compete with technology in terms of accuracy. Sure you will have an odd issue or two but that would again be due to handling of DRS and who used the technology, i.e. human error once again as 3rd umpire makes a fool of himself. But I would take the occasional DRS blooper than this farce where half the decisions, against either side, are incorrect.
