YK is the best all round fielder we have had by our standards. He has plucked some fantastic catches esp in slip cordon where he is up there with worlds best. He is also really good at hitting the stumps.

From India Ajit Agarkar,Azhar.....I am solely talking in term of fitness and as an all-round fielder.... Obviously Yuvraj,Kohli,Kaif,Raina,Jadeja are some of the best Indian fielders I have ever seen. From international cricket-Jonty,Gibbs,Ponting,Collingwood and special mention Dilshan-Probably one of the best fielders in the world right now

He has dropped a few lately. Ponting is the best I have seen for all-round. Key with him was his success rate at throwing down the stumps. Of current guys I would say ABDV is wasted as a keeper. There are quite a few athletic young bucks who can throw themselves around (Steve Smith, Warner, Guptill) but you got to be brilliant to reach the all-round level of ponting.

At point, covers yes ... but at slips Jonty dropped catches. The OP asks for an all-round fielder - it makes it bloody difficult to defeat Ponting in that aspect. AB DeVilliers and Roger Harper come close but I don't think many players stand a chance for Ponting in the all round fielding position department.

He fields at the deep or he is usually at the slips. Yeah, he is a pretty good slip fielder.

I have never seen Raina drop catches. In fact he takes the catches that are not even there for the taking...It's magic So for me it's Raina
