There are plenty of players that never declared retirement. Because they never needed to.

He played the recent T20 WC and if he plays well in the domestic T20 competition starting tomorrow he can still be selected for the India series because of his experience. If he is still good enough or not, that's for another discussion.

Chanderpaul really stands out in that list. Hats off. he and Kallis were the strokeless wonders of the 90's to mid 2000's.
