Old guy Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Exam Kaisa Hua? expecting 70 out of 80 super easy didnt Mandeep average close to 70 in first season? first season is easy as u r unknown.its second season that is tricky lol but not in tough conditions, opening the batting u know tht if some one scueeds here opening he will have tight technique and temprament yes people have weakness but mukund, vijay dont even look like scoring runs when ball moves
saneindian Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Has had a great start but as Gavaskar has often said judge a batsman after his 2nd FC season. Another issue is none of Punjab's matches have been televised so far to know how good his technique and how good he is against pace bowling.
India-KXIP fan Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 expecting 70 out of 80 super easy This definitely happened. I can confirm, I was exam.

Old guy Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I'm not sure' date='but I read that he has done well on these tours wen he was selected in the team last year[/quote'] not really sucked in windies sucked for most part in nz
Cevno Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 not really sucked in windies sucked for most part in nz Didn't he do well in England along with Pujara? Or was that Rahane?
Cevno Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Want to first see this Jiwanjot before making a judgement. ANY Videos around ?
Old guy Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Didn't he do well in England along with Pujara? Or was that Rahane? rahane i think or maybe both lol but after making debut he hasnt done anything of note...
The Outsider Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 ^ Rahane did well on the England A tour along with Pujara, but was a disappointment during the WI A tour. Can't recall Mukund doing much, but might be wrong. Coming back to Jiwanjot, I hope they telecast the Punjab QF so that there is a chance to watch Jiwanjot, the Kaul brothers, Mandeep, and Sandeep. Punjab really looks to be the team to follow for future prospects this particular season. And no I don't mean Yuvraj and Harbhajan by future prospects.

vvvslaxman Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Mukund is a hack. AN overachiever in domestic cricket if anything. For my money only guy from TN who has some potentia with batl is Dinesh karthik. Vijay an FTB. Badri not even an FTB. Ashwin is comfortably a better batsman than these guys. Let us see how Baba aprajith shapes up.

Let us see how Baba aprajith shapes up. baba has to learn how to make big runs...he has talent plays classy shots and imo good enough technique just temperament thing what about the guy who opened with chand in under 19 cup he looked solid needs to work on ones and two runs but he looked more secure then chand in tht tournament :cantstop:

I was just referring to the England A tour on which I couldn't remember Mukund's performance. And yeah, Rahane fell mainly to spinners on the WI A tour. Think it was the Parimaul guy who troubled him. The best thing for Rahane would be that he is not selected for the ODIs against Pakistan, so he can play some FC cricket in case Bombay qualify for the knockouts, which itself is unlikely now.
