:hysterical: Before England series he was considered as world's best spinner by some Indian fans ahead of Ajmal and Swann.Nobody in in his wildest dream ever thought that in last match he will be bowling with Jadeja and Chawla in 4th test with worst figures and least number of overs among four spinners which are playing test

Yeah... I agree Sadly he has been the biggest disappointment for India after Pathan and Ishant :((
Pathan and Ishant were considered as futures.None of them were considered or compared to best pacers of that time .Ashwin was compared with Ajmal and Swann

Ashwin should retire from cricket and move to West Bengal. With his carrom (balls) he is more fit to join local para/adda than national team. Plus he can continue to grow his rasgulla type body.

wasn't he the next big thing for indian cricket esp spin department and in the same forum ppl argue that he's still better than ajmal cause ajmal hasn't performed overseas and stuff.......... seriously this is what over hyping can cost u...

Turns up every day and bowls same filth with no consistency. Even Chawla was better. My patience is running out on Ravichandran Dustbin.
:hysterical: the dustbin the darter the chai wala why oh why have we been cursed with these useless pie throwers :fear:

At least he is no a chucker like Chuckmal and he is the 2nd highest run scorer for India in this series and way better than Umar Akmal. :hysterical:

yeah another BD, Paki poster having nothing positive to say about India/Indians/indian cricket.. Ashwin is 26 while chukmal's biological age is probably 39 and book age is 17 (?). BTW Ashwin has better batting average than most BD and Pak batsmen.

So ashwin is carrom bowler and useless. Oijha just bowls the same all the time and is chai wala Chalwa is just rubbish, no nick name needed. Jadeja the dart thrower is doing well and in vogue. Maybe we need another dart thrower, as before all wanted flight but now we need darts. Anyone know any dart throwers in indian cricket?:cantstop:

ps I would not be so harsh on Ashwin or Oijha(he has done ok to be fair). All spinners and most bowlers need runs on the board to play with and pile on pressure. 1st test we did this and they did the business. I guarntee if 2nd and 3rd test we had ammassed 500 plus, the spin duo would have done the bussiness. The batsman pile on the runs, then the spinners come in to play. Look at kumble, when overseas initially he did nothing as batters would fols like pack of cards. But then after 2001 upwards the batters piled on runs overseas, then suddenly kumble would turn in and get wickets. If the batsman do their bit, then spinners will come to fore. But with no runs they will do jack

Instead of comparing him to Umar Akmal you should dwell a bit more on what you wrote; the 2nd highest run scorer. Firstly you should worry about rest of the batsmen since they are not performing, secondly Ashwin is in the team to take wickets, the runs he scores are valuable of course but not his main duty.

Ashwin's days are numbered at this rate. His batting has been saving him much like Bhajji's batting saved him. He is yet to fully understand what Test match bowling is. Consistency is required on unhelpful surfaces. Here is the comparison. Also surface required little pace. Ashwin's pace was below 55 mph for the most part. Jaddu's speed was about 55 mph for the most part. 25i5fz6.png
