It would be stupid of Congress to name him as the PM nominee before 2014 elections. Their best bet is to name him if/after they win

Or maybe not :D I really dont see what was so offensive about the post. The first part is something that is debatable. In any fight you are outnumbered and certain to lose, it is recommended to surrender and hope to survive first. Of course like others said, I have no idea if this advice would be equally applicable something like rape, because it is next to impossible for a man to understand the emotional trauma behind the crime and the long term effect it has on the victim. The reaction to the second para is what flabbergasted me. What is it that everyone finds so offensive in the post? Maybe I misunderstood something :dontknow: It's a patriarchal myth that satisfies the egos of weak men which says the physical act of rape (apart from dry penetration which can be painful) in itself is anything more than a nuisance. That rape has significant sexual angle to it as well? The perp surely gets off on the violence and cruelty, but it would be stupid to say that the sexual gratification he receives plays no part in motivating him to commit the crime? What women find most disturbing is the control aspect of it (this can be replicated by just holding the woman in a closed elevator when she is on her way to work) and if the girl is young, the psychologial damage. That women find the control/non consensual aspect of rape most disturbing? Not to be too crude but if a woman is into it she can exhaust a group of men and walk away happily. This truth is of course quite challenging to the novice penis. :hehe: That a women may also enjoy sex and has the ability to satisfy multiple partners, which men don't? Note that it is not alluded that the rape victim enjoyed the sex, but rather any woman. Is a woman enjoying sex such an offensive idea?

From that point stricter laws were enforced. Lady constables were posing as students and took care of eve teasers. They stationed cops in plain clothes randomly to catch lot more people. They don't want the citizens gathering even for a peaceful protest, so why should crowds gather to hear them at their convenience? And what is the Nation celebrating anyway? Let the PM & the President address vacant spaces & buildings. They don't want our presence now but let us be absent when it matters most. Let the world get a taste of our disgust. Sometimes quick justice is needed.

They try to escape, attack police and are shot dead in self defense. These guys would have definitely been shot dead the day after they were all caught. We want facts from you not your bloody opinions everytime. I am just sick of our society and more so the govt. They had every chance to bring in police reform, increase policing and the warning signs were there all along especially in Delhi. What makes me even more angry is that it took sustained protests from thousands of angry citizens for the govt to act. The word empathy seems to be alien to them. The "mango" people had to come on the streets for the govt to even consider an anticorruption bill and now this. Why the feck do we have to come out and protest for the govt to perform its normal duties. Lastly, it takes the gen next to change this country, the baby boomers and the previous generations have let our country down.
