Rohit S. Ambani Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 We will conquer Lahore very soon, it belongs to India, we will push Pakistani's to Afghanistan.
Utalk Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 No thank you. Pakistani Kashmir is the only part of Pak administrated area that is doing well. We have the highest literacy rate in Pakistan. Lowest crime rate and because of large expat communities in UK and Gulf financially we are better off then any other part of Pakistan. Only thing that irks is the fact that I can't participate in elections unless I pledge allegiance to Pakistan. So much for being Azad.
Nova Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 NO. I would prefer the line of control becoming a permanent international boundary...but that's not going to happen.
The Outsider Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Only thing that irks is the fact that I can't participate in elections unless I pledge allegiance to Pakistan. So much for being Azad. Didn't know that. But doesn't Azad Kashmir send representatives to the parliament in Pakistan. I am sure I've read statements from MPs of Azad Kashmir before?
Utalk Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Didn't know that. But doesn't Azad Kashmir send representatives to the parliament in Pakistan. I am sure I've read statements from MPs of Azad Kashmir before? No we don't have representation in Pakistan national Parliament. Because that would undermine disputed territory stance. We have AJK Legislative Assembly which runs the region but mostly they are ppl who are puppets of the ruling party in Islamabad. People vote based on regional politics. Pro independent parties are not allowed to participate in elections. If we had strong and Independent govt Azad Kashmir would be a model state. Like I said before there is huge expat community in UK and Gulf states. We have Mangla Dam that provides most of electricity and irrigation water to Punjab and if we get paid royalty for that we would be self sufficient. That would be a great advert for greater independent Kashmir.
Stuge Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 NO. I would prefer the line of control becoming a permanent international boundary...but that's not going to happen. Thats the only solution .

I'm not sure if you are a model immigrant community (correct me if I'm wrong) in those nations so as to form a model state in Azad Kashmir.
ganeshran Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 NO. I would prefer the line of control becoming a permanent international boundary...but that's not going to happen. This. Better to go about strengthening the economy rather than waging useless wars.

Pro independent parties are not allowed to participate in elections. Hmmm.. interesting. I thought Azad Kashmir sent some representation. Pro Independence parties are not allowed to participate? Why? Yeah, I know India has held shambolic elections in the past, but as of now all terrorists like Geelani and Malik are part of the electoral process, it's another matter that they can't get even their deposits back. If we had strong and Independent govt Azad Kashmir would be a model state. Like I said before there is huge expat community in UK and Gulf states. A land locked country between India, Pakistan, and China has no way of surviving given it's strategic importance. You can have all the Dams, irrigation, and electricity but these three regional powers will never let you live on your own will. Which camp to join? Who knows?
Trichromatic Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 It's time for Indian govt to remove that portion from map. For many years we had no idea that one third of J&K shown on maps was never under Indian govt at all. LOC should become international border if a free united Kashmir can't come into existence.

Independent Kashmir would always suffer because of tussle among neighbors.
