Regarding item numbers' date=' why all the songs have the UP/Bihar gangsta crowd? Why "main aayi hoon UP/Bihar lootney"? Why not "Bengal lootney"?[/quote'] The context of the film: Bachhu Yadav, the criminal politician who's already robbing the state of Bihar.

Hehe, good point. :p Anyways, Bengal has it's own cinema industry, no ? Bollywood and Hindi cinema is more popular in North and West so it's obvious they refer to their target audience more.
The target audience then start thinking themselves as Gangsta and then start sexual assaults in the target area/region (say NCR/UP/Haryana/Bihar etc.)... :dontknow:

Like the idiot.who got inspired by batman in usa, and then threw gas bombs before open firing in usa? Or the other one who was said.to be inspired by video games? Your point? Idiots and criminal minds may get influenced by a robverry scene in a movie or a gun fight. Hell they may take influence from history text book and try and becoming bhagat singh and.hitting a leader they dont like.

Does a Bihari really need a song to be a gangster :haha: You are mistakenly putting Bihar-UP in that "elite" group Asterix da and here's why. a) UP-Bihar geographically/culturally/religiously are not too different and the similarities are to the point where you can think of them as one continuous entity. Of course Western UP and Eastern Bihar have lot less in common than the mainland but you get the picture. In many ways the similarity between Bihar-UP will perhaps be more than any two states. For example Bihar-Bengal or Bengal-Orissa dont have as much commonality. A unique way to see this is of all the Muslims who migrated to Pakistan after partition, those that migrated from UP-Bihar often are uniquely different to others. b) The prevalent song in Bihar-UP often use local geography. For example you can often hear Aara-Chapra, Baliya/Benaras, Gaya/Gomo (all cities and towns) mentioned in the town. It is perhaps one way to create a connection with the listener and thus a sense of association. The move from cities to state is perhaps just an extension. c) Lastly, I am inclined to think that Bihari-UP region is traditionally so rich in terms of songs that are racy and include tons of gaalis, all WITHOUT being judged. This is more a morality of other states that are now pushing rest of the country, including UP-Bihar, into following a Saudi Arab kind of morality. For example - couple of local songs that I grew up listening in 80s Saadhe teen baje Munni jaroor milna Driverwa haraami bhompu bajaye saadhe teen baje (This was the inspiration behind Subhas Ghai's Saat Saheliyan khadi khadi) The sad and unfortunate thing is these rich songs have sooooo been banned by modern day Indians that it is dying in India while it survives in Surinaam, Mauritius where Bihari-UP laborers had migrated to. A song I was looking showed up at a Guyanese. Have a listen, you might have heard it too during MP days..:winky: ry9alyHnw88

^^ Here is another popular lokgeet for your listening pleasure. Look at the suggestive lyrics.. Hum na jaibe sasur ghar mein baba jiyra dar gayil hamaar baba sasur peeche sasuriya pe baba apne choti jhopadiya mein baba maare apne lakadiya se baba hum na jaibe sasur ghar mein baba IPHmLsQCKA8 I dont quite think item songs referencing Bihar has ever perturbed a Bihari. The local culture is laced/enriched by gaalis and suggesting songs for centuries. It is the morality of other regions that is bothering and stifling.

Why cant these horny bastards whack off like we did when we were young ' date='we didnt even have internet back then and we somehow managed a healthy lifestyle.[/quote'] These feckers are like in their 20s...they're probably tired of whacking off by now... Another thing is that, here in the US, parents dont really mind their kids sleeping with chicks as long as the girl don't get pregnant, but in India, i think the case is different.

Like I said, its upto you (if you are a parent/guardian) upto what level of restriction you wanna put for your kids on dressing habit. Here people are turning more into copying western culture, embracing habit of more body revealing short cutting fashoinwear are triggering the likelyhood of these sorta harrasing incident for girls. Well, as you light out a exceptional case there for example I know there are also concerned conservative middle age style families where girls are kept fully restricted under parda after their six; yep even from her close male cousins & relatives. So some parents maybe gets over-concerned for their bad behaving kids. The question should be, are all parents feel enough concerned of these social changing issues and threat relating these?

parda is the ultimate solution' date=' if you are a real concerned parent.[/quote'] True...putting men behind parda will indeed solve the problem.

How do you enforce the parda on a new born girls who has no control of the self? We now know there are men who get excited looking at such young girls too.

Do you know that among these higely restrictive culture, the cases of molestations and sexual assault happening between relatives are most? Do you know that such restrictively brought up women are the least likely to report such assaults? So if you think no of reports coming from such restirctive families is less, its not because they dont happen but because that girls from such families dont have the courage and up-bringing to report it? Also, do you know that the statement you made about body-revealing clothes leading to more harrassment is completely false and is not backed by any data whatsoever? That all data points to the opposite, women in burkhas are raped and molested, 5 year old kids are raped and molested? So its better not to show your ignorance when you genuinely dont know a thing. Or else maybe you have a source of claim about your statemnt about clothes triggering icnidents of harrasments? Finally, one last point. you admit yourself that the harrasment is because of men, yet you want to restrict women from childhood? What sort of justice is this? Shouldnt it be the men who have no control of themselves who be restricted and not the women punished for no fault of theirs? As long as there are misogynst men such as you in India, situation for women are never going to increase and its a crying shame that we have educated men with internet access who has such 19th century views on women. And sir, there is not a big leap from your way of thinking to things like honour killing and female foeticide. Do you know the first thing the rapists asked in the Delhi incident was, " What are you doing so late with a man?" And then they decided to "punish" her? So in short, the rapists had exactly the same way of thinking as you did?

So whats your message? you want to preach against these ppl who are following such religions & culture supporting incest/close relations among them?

for the argument, I would go with the "no report means less". Cause I would rather support for anything that leads into less likelyhood than some exceptional cases.

Its not about ignorance. Its about realisation and concern. No legislator needs stats for gaining into such opinion. Just because some mare shyte happening in domestic level among minors, dosnt necessarily whole idea treated to be wrong. I understand such legislation not realistic in broad manner in India, but for the least sense of protecting anti-social corruption, I'm glad that Mr. Singhal feels concerned & wants to do something about it. As long as someone is vocal is something satisfatory enough to bring some attention ftb and grow this concern among new gen parents. Thats how socity try to rectify and choose right path.

Stop judging ppl based on support over some political/religious belief. You simply know nothing about me to offend saying someone being misogynst all because you being a hardcore feminist yourself. I got mother, sister, daughter and other female relatives myself living in a joint family to learn enough how to respect and give proper value to them. Raping of women is such disgusting event no women cant ever forget such trauma and has to live with it whole her life, no punishment can provide justice for such crime. I know how fragile women are and what men are capable to do. I'm a simple concerned brother/son/husband/father.
Do you know the first thing the rapists asked in the Delhi incident was, " What are you doing so late with a man?" And then they decided to "punish" her? So in short, the rapists had exactly the same way of thinking as you did?
Sorry criminal psychology aint my major to comment here, and find it bit off-topic anyway.

I feel pity for those growing number of guys in India who gets sexualy excited seeing a new born baby or to publicly revealed bodyparts and attempt to go for rape. I blame their parents more than the acts here. I cant even tolerate grasping a grown woman being raped and cant just bear some sicko falling sexualy for a child. I know parda is not possible to enforce here, but I understand this at least for a protective solution/suggestion.
