Anti Virat Kohli Club

Recommended Posts

For all Virat Kohli fans and anti-fans: Virat Kohli scored a century in the Natwest Series (v Eng in Eng) in 2011. His five scores in that series in descending order were 107, 55, 16, 9 and 7. In which of the ODIs did Virat score his century? a) 1st ODI b) 2nd ODI c) 3rd ODIs d) 4th ODI e) 5th ODI? :hmmm:

True. There is no denying that Virat Kohli is the Don Bradman of meaningless matches. He can be renamed 'Virat Kohli DRS (Dead Rubber Specialist)'.

To sum up, Kohli scored a magnificent 107 in the 5th match of the ODI series against England (in England) in 2011. India had already lost the series by 2-0 by then. Kohli also scored 55 in the first game (in which Pappu Patel got 95), but that match got washed away and we ended up with a 'No Result'. Note: AVKC will put up a Virat Kohli fact or an anecdote everyday from now on.

Virat Kohli 'Fact of the Day' - 2 In 94 ODIs, Kohli has scored a staggering 13 centuries. However, 11 out of these 13 have come in the flatbeds of Asia, with Dhaka being his favourite hunting ground. Kohli has scored 5 centuries in India, 4 in Bangladesh and 2 in Sri Lanka. Therefore, Kohli has a jaw-dropping average of a century in every 5.8 matches in the subcontinent (scored 11 centuries in 64 games) ; but outside the subcontinent the average drops down to a century in every 15 matches (2 in 30 matches) :hmmm:

A century every 15 innnings is not even that bad for ODI's. 30 matches is too little anyway to make judgements. He had a great average in SA but didn't get a hundred. Tendulkar averages 30 against Australia in Australia in ODI's. Averages 25 playing away against SA... What a terrible player (not srs)
