King Tendulkar Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 What players do you think should be on next A tour. Looking for talented youngsters who may have that something. A batsman who can play pace well, a pacer who bowls fast or spinner who turns it. Players that have some raw ingredients and some x factor that need an A tour to develop and maybe break in to india team.

Considering our top players will be in CT during SA A tour openers : Mukund/Dhawan, Jiwanjot, Reddy Middle Order : Mandeep, Rayudu, Rohit Sharma ©, Manpreet Juneja. Keeper : CM Gautam, Uday Kaul Spinners/ All rounders : - Rishi Dhawan. Pacers : Pankaj Singh, Pandey, Mohit , Rajpoot. my list, quite tentative will keep changing it.

I would leave out Mukund though. What about spinners ? I would like a leg spinner who can turn the ball on most pitches and gets zip off the pitch. Would Ladda qualify ?

Some good choices. I would add Kaul the punjabi keeper and ladda the leegie from punjab. M Tiwary should also go on next A tour, maybe as captain
express bowling Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 We need to give Ankit Rajpoot, Sandeep Warrier, Pandey and Mohit sufficient chances in the A team games for them to gain experience. Also Aaron, if fit. They can play by rotation.

Cevno Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Mohanty not godo enough. Why not ? He has been doing well consistently more than any of the other guys in the domestic circuit. Granted he isn't quick and bowls for Orrissa but surely deserves a chance in the A squad to test out.

Nadeem exposed in his first real test, did well in weak group)

Middle-order:-Rohit,Manoj,Rayudu,Mandeep,1 leftie(has gr8 average in FC but can't remember his name),Manish Pandey. All-rounder:-Rishi Dhawan. Keeper/bat:-Gautam,Kaul. Spinners:-Nadeem,Chawla,Harmeet. Seamers:-Ishwar Pandey,Sandeep Sharma,Awana,Warrier,Pankaj. Rahane & Shami will be in the India squad so they're not considered.Aaron is injured but he can be in there if he's fit.Siddarth Kaul is a 125kph trundler don't see a promising young bowler in him.
